Mary Catherine Kelly

Mary Catherine Kelly, an 85 year old resident of Lansdowne, PA passed away on October 1st 2018.

Originally born in Atlantic City, NJ Mary moved to Lansdowne after taking care of her parents in the family home in West Philadelphia. Mary is the daughter of the late Louis V. and Marian (Donaghy).

Mary focused her life’s work as an active member for various parishes within the Philadelphia Catholic Diocese. Most recently Mary was an educator in the CCD program at St. Philomena’s in Lansdowne, PA. Mary enjoyed spending time with family and friends to share common life experiences and every day events.

Mary is survived by her brother Louis J., nieces Margaret Mary and Berndatte Marie (Kelly) Peterson, nephew Louis Sean and grandnephews Steven Albert Peterson, Gaelen Patrick, Aiden John and Joseph Tolan.

Mary is predeceased by her brother, Gus Kelly.

Mary was always positive, upbeat and cheerful to all who knew her for years or met her for the first time. Mary devoted her life to fulfilling faith based efforts in the Catholic Church as well as taking care of her parents for many years.

Relatives and Friends are invited to her Viewing Monday, 9 A.M. Church of St. Philomena, 45 E. Baltimore Ave, Lansdowne, PA 19050 and to her Funeral Mass 10 A.M. in the Church.
