U.D. police looking for missing township woman

UPPER DARBY >> A missing persons report has been filed with Upper Darby police about a woman who has not been seen since in almost a week.

Police are looking for 29-year-old Hope Meussner, who reportedly left her home on the morning of Oct. 4 to go to her place of employment in downtown Philadelph­ia. She has not been seen since leaving work that afternoon without her belongings, according to the report filed on Oct. 5. Her cell phone was eventually recovered from her workplace.

Police have made contact with a number of persons who know Meussner, but with no further informatio­n regarding her possible whereabout­s, according to a filed incident report.

As of Sunday evening, Upper Darby Police Superinten­dent Michael Chitwood said the department has not had luck reaching out to her.

Her family, who filed the missing persons report, said this course of action by Meussner “is out of the ordinary.” She is not known to have a substance abuse problem or a criminal record.

Meussner is described at

5’ 4” tall, 130 pounds, brown hair with hazel eyes. She has celtic knot tattoo on her left shoulder, a dragon on the back of her neck and an unidentifi­ed tattoo on one of her wrists.
