Doris Ann Ieradi, age 85, formerly from Middletown Township, died October 7, 2018 at home.

She was born in Seaford, DE and raised and reared in Chester, PA where she lived most of her life. She attended Chester schools and graduated from Chester High School in 1950.

Mrs. Ieradi was a former employee of Wawa at their corporate offices from 1976 until her retirement in 1998 as the executive assistant to the VP of Finance. She was actively involved with and instrument­al in starting the Wawa Employees Credit Union, which is still in operation today. She held many positions with the Credit Union while employed at Wawa. She was also the top real estate agent in Delaware County starting her career in 1985. After retirement she worked for a number of years at Senior Victim Services in Media, PA.

Mrs. Ieradi was a member of St. Katherine Drexel Church and an avid bowler in the former St. Robert’s Church League. She was also a huge fan of the NFL and could be found watching games on any given Sunday. For many years she vacationed with her family in Sea Isle City, NJ.

She was the daughter of the late William and Helen O’Neil Shinners, wife of the late Anthony Ieradi, mother of the late Jean (Ed) News, and sister of the late Jean Gormely.

Survivors: Son: Anthony Ieradi (Sandy) of Glen Mills; Daughters: Robin Smith (Charlie) of Middletown, Maria Polilli (Paul) of Linwood, Mitrina Knight (Jon) of Greensboro, NC; 14 Grandchild­ren; and 15 Great Grandchild­ren

Visitation: Thursday from 9:15-10:15am at St. Katharine Drexel Church,

1920 Providence Ave. Chester. Funeral Mass at

10:30am at the church. Burial will be at Saints Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfiel­d.
