Malone provides second-half spark for EA

Episcopal Academy had some work to do at halftime Tuesday afternoon. Harrison Malone was on it.

Malone scored on unassisted tally then set up Jack Pacera’s game-winner in a 2-1 come-from-behind victory over Penn Charter in Inter-Ac League boys soccer action.

Trevor Manion made eight saves for EA (11-0-1,

3-0 Inter-Ac).

In the Central League: STRATH HAVEN 2, GARNET VALLEY 1 >> Nate Perrins completed his brace in overtime off a feed from Jake Zweier to lead Strath Haven.

Harris Hardy set up the first goal, and Noah Atsaves made five saves for the Panthers.

LOWER MERION 3, RADNOR

1>> Ben Engstrom scored in a four-goal first half and Nate Congleton made three saves, but the Raiders couldn’t match the firepower of the Aces.

In the Catholic League: BONNER & PRENDERGAS­T 1, ARCHBISHOP RYAN 0 >> Andrew Markopoulo­s scored the only goal, and Mike Perretta made it stand up with nine saves in goal. CARDINAL O’HARA 3, CONWELL-EGAN 1 >> Martin Meenan and Luke Signora scored to go with an own goal, and Calvin Rolland and Pat O’Donnell provided assists for the Lions.

In the Del Val League: ACADEMY PARK 2, CHICHESTER­0>> Daniel Pitt scored one minutes into the second half to open the scoring, and Ian Francis added an insurance tally late for the Knights (6-8,

5-1). Abudl Tholley kept the clean sheet with three saves.
