Gregory Scott Killen, born in Chester, PA on May

17, 1949, went home to be with the Lord on September

30, 2018 surrounded by his loving family.

Upon graduation from Chester High School, Scott joined the United States Marine Corp. in May of 1968, and during his military service he proudly served in Vietnam through May of 1972, transferri­ng to the Marine Corp. Reserves until May of 1974.

Scott was preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Genevieve Killen. He is survived by his beloved wife MaryAnn; his son, S. Mike Killen (Nicole) and granddaugh­ter, Haley, of Wilmington DE; a stepdaught­er and four stepchildr­en; a sister, Candace Killen Degville of Magnolia TX; a brother, Stewart J. Killen of Alexandria, VA along with nieces, nephews, cousins and countless old and new friends.

After retiring from CSX Railroad after 35 years Scott readily volunteere­d for Haven Hospice Orange Park FL and St. Vincent’s Clay County, where he was recipient volunteer of the year in 2016 and 2017. Scott was also acknowledg­e for his continued service to his veteran community by Governor Rick Scott.

He will be deeply missed by his family and all who had the honor of calling him friend.

A public service for Mr. Killen will be held with Military Honors at the National Cemetery, Jacksonvil­le, FL, on Monday October 22, 2018, at 1:00 P.M.
