Gre­gory Scott Killen, born in Ch­ester, PA on May

17, 1949, went home to be with the Lord on Septem­ber

30, 2018 sur­rounded by his lov­ing fam­ily.

Upon grad­u­a­tion from Ch­ester High School, Scott joined the United States Marine Corp. in May of 1968, and dur­ing his mil­i­tary ser­vice he proudly served in Vietnam through May of 1972, trans­fer­ring to the Marine Corp. Re­serves un­til May of 1974.

Scott was pre­ceded in death by his par­ents Arthur and Genevieve Killen. He is sur­vived by his beloved wife MaryAnn; his son, S. Mike Killen (Ni­cole) and grand­daugh­ter, Ha­ley, of Wilm­ing­ton DE; a step­daugh­ter and four stepchil­dren; a sis­ter, Can­dace Killen Degville of Mag­no­lia TX; a brother, Ste­wart J. Killen of Alexan­dria, VA along with nieces, neph­ews, cousins and count­less old and new friends.

Af­ter re­tir­ing from CSX Rail­road af­ter 35 years Scott read­ily vol­un­teered for Haven Hos­pice Or­ange Park FL and St. Vin­cent’s Clay County, where he was re­cip­i­ent vol­un­teer of the year in 2016 and 2017. Scott was also ac­knowl­edge for his con­tin­ued ser­vice to his vet­eran com­mu­nity by Gover­nor Rick Scott.

He will be deeply missed by his fam­ily and all who had the honor of call­ing him friend.

A pub­lic ser­vice for Mr. Killen will be held with Mil­i­tary Hon­ors at the Na­tional Ceme­tery, Jack­sonville, FL, on Mon­day Oc­to­ber 22, 2018, at 1:00 P.M.
