TRIVIA - BE AFRAID

-

1. In Saharan Africa, this fictitious predator is a creepy burn victim. In Adriatic countries, it’s an old lady who eats children. For us, it’s a man in the closet who is also, based on the title, a subpar golfer.

2. Referenced in Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” is this underworld deity, the so-called Lord of the Flies who buzzes around as a top lieutenant to the devil, or in some cases is known as the devil himself.

3. Watch out for Africa’s longest venomous snake which despite its darkened name boasts a yellowish color, almost like a Los Angeles Lakers uniform.

4. Giant squids inspired this legendary sea monster that old Scandinavian sailors feared could crack open its deadly power upon them while they were adrift in the northern Atlantic.

5. Everybody is scared of endodontic therapy, which when you get down to it is more commonly known by this term.

6. Everybody fears this succession in what would be a deadly trilogy. It hasn’t happened, but in January 1995, we came within minutes after an innocent stratospheric projectile was mistaken for something far more threatening.

7. English author William Beckford introduced us to this grueling monosyllabic cannibal zombie who walks the graveyards at night and feasts on freshly buried bodies. The word is now synonymous with anybody fascinated by the macabre. Courtesy of The Democratic Republic of Trivia
