Media Cub Scout Troop No. 76 visits Pennsylvania Veterans Museum
MEDIA >> The Pennsylvania Veterans Museum recently hosted Cub Scout Troop #76 from Media. More than thirty scouts and their parents were given a tour and saw exhibits and artifacts from World War II to the new Vietnam War Exhibit.
Bill Lovejoy, Chairman of the Pennsylvania Veterans Museum welcomed the group and said “The Pennsylvania Veterans Museum honors the men and women who served in the military to defend our nation, oppose tyranny and maintain the traditions and liberty with which we are blessed. This museum presents history written by people in your community and perhaps by members of your families. Veterans are ordinary people who leave homes and their loved ones to serve our country. They are patriots living among us.” Scout Leader, Jeff Gelman, said “The Scouts seemed to enjoy the experience and learned a lot at the same time.”
The Pennsylvania Veterans Museum is at 12 E. State St., Media, and is open Thursday through Sunday, 12 noon to 5 p.m. Admission is free. For more information, visit www.paveteransmuseum.org. To arrange a proup or private tour, call 610-566-0788. If no one answers, messages will be returned.
