Delaware County Veterans Parade planned for Nov. 12

The 59th Annual Delaware County Veterans Day Parade and Ceremony will kick off 11:11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 12, on State Street in Media to honor U.S. veterans and active military. A ceremony will immediately follow the parade in front of the Delaware County Courthouse at Front Street and Veterans Square. This year, the parade will be in honor of the 100th anniversary of World War I, with a focus of sharing the legacy of veterans with younger generations. It is projected that the parade will be as large as those in the past several years, with participants of all ages. Schoolhouse Center hosts free breakfast for veterans

Schoolhouse Center, 600 Swarthmore Ave., Folsom, invites area veterans for breakfast 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7. The breakfast will be free for veterans and $3 for everyone else.
