Performanc­es are at 6:30 p.m. each evening, along with a 1:30 Saturday matinee. Over 150 students will showcase their acting, singing, musical and technical talents in this production. St. Kevin Women’s Club to host Ladies Night Out

St. Kevin Women’s Club will host a Ladies Night Out, a night of shopping and socializin­g, 5-9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8 in the St. Kevin Parish Life Center, 200 W. Sproul Rd., Springfiel­d. Cost is $10 which includes one raffle ticket. Snacks and Beverages will be available. Tickets for raffle baskets provided by more than 30 vendors and a

50/50 drawing will be sold. I.G.C. Concierge Jewelers and Precious Gem & Metal Buyers will also be on hand to purchase unwanted gold, silver and platinum jewelry brought to the event. Author of book about dating over age 60 to speak at Ridley library

Judith Hill, author of “I Still Want Fireworks: A Single at 60s Odyssey Through Life, Love and Online Dating,” will visit the Ridley Township Library 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7 to talk about her book. The book is a hilarious ride through her adventures in dating as an older woman. Hill takes the ride for all women over 40, so that they can try to avoid the pitfalls. The advice in her book can apply as well to women of all ages. The book is a “candidly bold story, not only of starting over and refusing to settle, but of self discovery, written by a woman who will most definitely dispel every notion about a

60-year-old.

Soup and breadstick­s dinner on Saturday

Christ Church will host their annual Soup, Salad and Breadstick­s dinner 4-7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3 at the church, 2900 Springfiel­d Rd., Broomall, next to Giant Supermarke­t.

There is no charge for this event but an offering is appreciate­d. Homemade soups to be served are: Vegetable Beef, Cream of Onion, Chicken Noodle, Mushroom Bisque, Chicken Gnocchi, Italian Wedding, Corn Chowder, Butternut Squash and New England Clam Chowder. Soup will be served with salad and breadstick­s, followed by apple crisp and ice cream. Take-out is also available. Everyone is welcome.

Quizzo Night at Milmont Park Firehouse to feature Aunt Mary Pat

Christ Episcopal Church to hold Starfest Bazaar

Christ Episcopal Church, 311 South Orange St., Media will host its annual Starfest Bazaar 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday Nov. 10. There will be a silent auction and eight different bazaar tables, costume jewelry; baked goods; hand crafted knit and crochet items, attic treasures, books, DVDs, and CDs for all ages. Soup-to-go, holiday cookies and plants will also be available. Lunch will be served from 11 a.m.-3 p.m., with menu items that include roast beef, meatball and chicken salad sandwiches. A portion of the proceeds will benefit local people in need served by the Outreach Ministries of Christ Church.

Free Carribean concert on Thursday at Marple Library

The Friends of the Marple Library welcome fall with splashes of musical sunshine 7 p.m. Thursday, November 1, when they present a free concert of the Carribean sound presented by the upbeat and highly rhythmic sounds of Steel Pan Drum music performed by musicians Paul Downie, drums and David Gettes, Steel Drum of Trinidad North. The concert includes their ever popular folk and popular music in the Caribbean traditions including classic and modern jazz, Broadway show tunes even music from the Beatles. The rhythmic fun free concert for all ages is open to the public. Included in the concert will be the background story on the origins, history and traditions of the steel drum and its unique musical sound. Marple Public Library is at 2599 Sproul Rd., Broomall. Media resident appointed to Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union Board

Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union (FMFCU) announced the appointmen­t of Denise Seastone Kraft, Esq. of Media to its board of directors. Kraft is presently a partner at DLA Piper LLP in Wilmington, Delaware, joining the firm in 2011. In her 30-year legal career, she has represente­d clients before Delaware and Pennsylvan­ia state and federal courts on matters involving business disputes, including intellectu­al property and commercial litigation issues.

Kraft earned her law degree from The Catholic University of America School of Law and bachelor’s degree in Political Science from West Virginia Wesleyan College. She serves on board of directors of Jobs for Delaware Graduates and Bar Examiners of the Delaware Supreme Court. Kraft was selected in 2015 as a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, which recognizes lawyers, judges, and legal scholars for their outstandin­g dedication to the welfare of their communitie­s and integrity of the legal profession.
