Elizabeth “Betty” Steif
Elizabeth “Betty” Steif, age 87, of Clermont, FL., formerly of Essington, PA. passed away on November 5, 2018.
Betty was a wonderful homemaker for most of her life. After raising her children she worked for Service America Corporation preparing and marketing food for business and industry.
Betty was also very talented. She was an expert level painter in ceramics, loved word and card games, and could prepare meals worthy of a James Beard Award. Her passions continue with baking, gardening, following her family on facebook, international and domestic travel, and critiquing the latest movie releases.
Betty loved God and her family with intensity. She was a happy-go-lucky person, who embraced every aspect of life and she never accepted no for an answer.
Betty was predeceased by her mother, Katherine Rokicka, husband John Adam Stief, sons, John Adam Stief, Jr. and William Michael Stief, grandson William Nicholas Stief and sister Katherine McPartland.
She is survived by daughters, Jacqueline M. Snow (Russell) and Teresa Harris (Dave), son Brian Stief (Marcy), daughter-in-law Donna Stief, lifelong partner, Thomas Armiger and sister Mary Brown. Also survived by 5 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Visitation on Tuesday November 13, from 8:45 a.m. to
9:45 a.m. in the Church of St. Gabriel, 233 Mohawk Ave., Norwood, followed by her Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. Burial; Immaculate Heart of Mary Cemetery, Linwood, Pa.
