Isabelle A. Cookston (née Padula)

Isabelle A. Cookston (née Padula), age 94, a resident of Plush Mills passed away peacefully on November 4, 2018.

Isabelle was born in Philadelphia to the late Anthony and Mary Padula.

Isabelle was a 1942 graduate of John W. Hallahan Catholic High School. She was a longtime resident of Media, PA.

Isabelle was preceded in death in 1982 by her husband, Harry Cookston. She is survived by her son, Stephen, and daughter-in-law, Shirley, who live in San Francisco.

Isabelle was employed by State Farm Insurance as an underwriter until her retirement.

As a devoted Catholic, she was very active with Nativity B.V.M. Catholic Church in Media. She brought pleasure to those who experienced her beautiful voice in the Nativity choir. She was also involved with many volunteer religious duties throughout her life. She was known to be a kind listener, good friend and adviser to her neighbors, friends and family. She will be dearly missed by those near to her.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 12th at Nativity BVM Church (30 E. Franklin St. Media, PA 19063). Friends and family may call from

10 - 11 a.m. in the church. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Media, PA.
