Learn secrets of meditation at Ridley Library
RIDLEY TOWNSHIP >> The Ridley Township Library and Resource Center is hosting some interesting programs for adults throughout the month of November.
• Meditation Saturday will take place at 1 p.m. Nov. 17 in the Quiet Room. Rich Conti, who leads the Schoolhouse Center Meditation Group, will offer instruction on how to meditate – which can provide a sense of inner calm.
• On Monday, Nov. 19, at 6:15 p.m., Coloring for Grownups will be held in the large meeting room. Come and remember how much fun you had coloring as a child. All materials will be provided, as well as cookies and drinks.
• Penn State master gardener Joe Daniels will lecture on Growing Houseplants and Indoor Herbs on Monday, Nov. 26 at 6:15 p.m.

Legion work on display
SPRINGFIELD>> Throughout the month of November, one of the large inside windows at the Springfield Township Library will highlight a display by the Springfield American Legion Post 227.
Having provided similar decorations in the past, the displays have received very positive comments and is a labor of love that takes many hours of planning and implementation, noted Bill Smeck, vice commander, Springfield American Legion Post 227.
The theme includes tributes to veterans – service men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country, especially those from Springfield; Gold Star families; and 100th Anniversary of the Armistice of Nov. 11, 1918 that ended World War I. The library is located at 70 Powell Road.
Sing Along in Chi
UPPER CHICHESTER >> The Upper Chichester Library invites newborns to preschoolers to come and sing along with Andrew Behringer’s Play on Music program, with two opportunities listed on the calendar in November and December.
Behringer, a local musician/songwriter presents a fun, interactive program for preschoolers. Children will sing and play instruments with this highly interactive and exciting music program. Studies show that exposing young children to music at an early age helps with speech development and comprehension.

Puppet show in Aston
ASTON – The Aston Public Library will present the Segal Puppets show, “North Pole Fun,” on Tuesday, Nov.
27, at 6:30 p.m. Described as a diversity show about the sharing and caring of the season, the presentation will include songs and routines about Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa, all as seen through the eyes of two North Pole elves.
Also, learn all about Doterra Essential Oils at the Aston Public Library on Thursday, Nov. 15, at 6:30 p.m. Tina Mulholland, RN, BSN, will explain all about essential oils, including ways to support issues such as sleep, seasonal threats and immune boosting. Participants can make a blend to take home – materials will be supplied.

The lecturer for this series, Professor Michael Wysession of Washington University in St. Louis, will take the viewer on a journey across the globe exploring
