Frances M. Winkler

Frances M. Winkler, age 80, passed away peacefully at her home on November 18, 2018 surrounded by her family and friends.

Fran was a lifelong Delaware County resident most recently living in Bethel Twp. Fran was a 1956 graduate of Springfield High School. She graduated from West Chester University earning her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing and earned her Master’s Degree of Education from St. Joseph’s University.

Fran also earned her CSN from Cheyney University. She worked for Bryn Mawr Hospital, Delaware County Memorial Hospital and South East Delco School District from where she retired. Frances enjoyed being involved in her community organizations, traveling, and working with mosaic tiles. She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church. Fran was blessed with dozens of loving friends and neighbors of her Riviera Community.

Fran was the daughter of the late Francis & Margaret Collins Figarola, former wife of the late Frederick Winkler and Mimi to her late grandson Michael.

Survivors: her loving children Frederick Winkler, David Winkler (Denise), Kathy Ulmer (Dave), and Janet Pelone (Mike). Her siblings Robert Figarola, Margaret Smith, and Donald Figarola. Loving Mimi to her beloved grandchildren, Jennifer, Joseph, Anthony, Allison, Dalton, Meghan, Aubrey and great grandchildren Damian, Vanessa, Ava, and Kayleigh. She will be missed by her loyal dog, P.D.

Visitation: Friday from 1010:45am at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Ave. Aston. Funeral Liturgy Friday at 11:00am at the funeral home. Burial: Private. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Frances’ name may be made to St. Francis Ministries, c/o Roman Kelly,
