EDGMONT >> The Garden Club of Springfield recently set the stage for the Thanksgiving holiday season at The Colonial Pennsylvania Plantation in Ridley Creek State Park.

Members of the Club used gourds, pumpkins, squash, dried corn, and ornamental cabbage donated by Linvilla Orchards and Wolff”s Apple House. The Garden Club provided dried hydrangeas, sage, magnolia seed pods, pine cones, autumn sedum, nandina berries, dried amaranth, winterberry, and greens from their own gardens.

Their creativity transformed the farmhouse kitchen and parlor into a warm and inviting home for visitors during the Thanksgiving season. For information, visit www. colonialplantation.org for information. After the Thanksgiving weekend, all the pumpkins and gourds will be distributed to the animals that reside at the farm.

The Garden Club of Springfield is a member of District I GCFP and National Garden Clubs, Inc. To attend a meeting or find out about membership, call Sue Simpson, 610- 328-9111.
