Drexel wins TD Bank title

Bailey Greenberg scored

17 of her game-high 22 points in the first half in an MVP performance, and Drexel held Vermont to single-digit points in the middle two quarters to claim the TD Bank Classic title with a 60-44 win Saturday.

Greenberg added eight rebounds. Niki Metzel picked up 13 points and seven boards for the Dragons (4-1).

PENN 65, NAVY 61 >> Eleah Parker scored 15 points and grabbed eight rebounds, and Princess Aghayere needed just 24 minutes to tally 14 points and 11 rebounds before fouling as the Quakers won at the Navy Classic.

Katie Kinum added eight points off the bench as Penn

(4-1) got field goals from eight players.

VIRGINIA TECH 61, VILLANOVA 59 >> The Wildcats led by eight points in the fourth quarter, but Trinity Baptiste’s three-point play with five seconds to play kept the Hokies unbeaten at the UCF Thanksgiving Classic.

Kelly Jekot led Villanova

(3-1) with 22 points. Mary Gedaka added 11 points and nine rebounds, and Adrianna Hahn dished five assists to augment 10 points for the Wildcats. IMMACULATA 57, PSU-BRANDYWINE 36 >> Brandi James (Interboro) scored 11 points to go with nine rebounds, and Nikki Velez paired eight points with seven rebounds, but the Lions (1-4) scored just 12 points in the first half of the setback.

Theresa Kearney (Archbishop Carroll) led all scorers with 16 points, and Brielle Rigo posted a doubledouble off the bench with

13 points and 10 boards for Immaculata.

KINGS 77, NEUMANN 57 >> Nafisa Saunders tallied

21 points, Minika Glenn added 14 points and each grabbed seven rebounds, but the Knights shot just

8-for-30 in the middle two quarters, outscored 41-20 in those frames.

RIDER 56, SAINT JOSEPH’S 54 >> Amari Johnson scored a game-high 17 points, including the go-ahead jumper with five minutes to play to lead Rider to the victory at the Hawk Classic.

Alyssa Monaghan (Bonner & Prendergast AllDelco) paired 13 points with eight assists, and Katie Jekot added 10 points for the Hawks (1-4).
