Michael Domenic Onorato, age 35, of Swarthmore, PA, formerly of South Philadelph­ia, PA passed away suddenly on November 22, 2018.

He attended Saint Nicholas of Tolentine Elementary School and later Our Lady of Peace and Notre Dame de Lourdes schools, a graduate of Ridley High School and earned his Associates Degree at DCCC in Business Administra­tion. Growing up his nickname was “OPH.” He played football for Swarthmore­wood, basketball for Our Lady of Peace, and baseball for Father Knoll CYO. He loved watching all Philadelph­ia sports teams, especially the Flyers and Eagles.

His passion was cooking, always could be found in the kitchen, helping his mom, especially making the meatballs and homemade gnocchi. He worked at Italian Village as a pizza maker, cook at the Blue Moon restaurant and the Corinthian Yacht Club. He was most recently worked with his father at Allstate as a Property and Casualty Sales Producer.

He had a great sense of humor. He was kind, generous and loving. He was very family oriented, having a very special place in his heart for his nephew, Luciano.

Michael is survived by his parents Richard and Lorraine (Cookie) Onorato. His brothers Richard and Victor (Katie), his sister, Michelle Bailor (Robert) as well as many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Relatives and Friends are invited to his Viewing Wednesday 6:30 P.M. and Thursday 9 A.M. O’Leary Funeral Home, 640 E. Springfiel­d Rd., Springfiel­d, PA 19064 and to his Funeral Mass 11 A.M. Our Lady of Peace Church, 208 Milmont Ave., Milmont Park, PA 19033. Int. Eastlawn Cemetery.
