Jannie Alberta (Powell) Clark

Jannie Alberta (Powell) Clark, affectionately called “Sissie” and “Boo”, age 67, of Chester, Pa., departed this life on November 24, 2018.

Born in Chester, Pa. to the late Jannie Ella (Tull) Powell and the late Matthew L. Powell. Sissie was a graduate of Chester High School. She was formerly employed at Swarthmore College. She was married to Thomas Clark for 49 years.

Sissie was preceded in death by her Mother (Jannie Ella) and her Father (Matthew), her siblings Robert (Bobby) Powell, Raymond Powell, Rembert Powell, and Vanessa Powell (“Aunt Bunny”).

Sissie was a loving wife and mother and leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband Thomas Clark, her devoted children Verna Clark and Thomas Clark; her 5 Grandchildren, her 5 Brothers, and her 2 Sisters and a host of beloved nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

Her Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2018, beginning at 10 A.M. at Bethany Baptist Church, 1121 Tilghman Street, in Chester, Pa.

Her Viewing will be on Saturday, December 1, 2018, from 9 A.M. to 10 A.M. at the church.

Her interment will be in Chester Rural Cemetery.
