SHAME OF THE GOP

Shame on the Delaware County Republican Party. You did a horrible job in the last two elections and look what you reap. You had good candidates and great representatives like Tommy McGarrigle and Jamie Santora swept to the side just because they had an “R” next to their name with you offering little to no help. You gave no support to a tremendous candidate in Pearl Kim, who basically was wailing against the wind mills with donkey Mary Gay Scanlon and all her big law firm money from Philadelphia. You actually elevated the guy who presided over those disasters to oversee the entire Southeastern Pennsylvania Republican Party. It’s amazing — you do such a horrible job and get a promotion. I’m hoping that we get some reasonable Republicans to take the reins of the party sometime soon.

I thought the front page of the Daily Times on Sunday was great — “The Life of Reilly.” It made me think of the TV show with William Bendix. I think that might fit some Republicans, too. BOOMER REPUBLICAN ON ROLLING ROAD

Yo Trumpaholics! I read where your idol, after viewing the devastation in Paradise, Calif., claimed he wants “great climate.” I’m certain he also wants a 30-inch waistline, but is he willing to make the necessary sacrifices to get either? BILL FROM BROOMALL

INDEPENDENT’S DAY

I have never heard of a more stupid or more wishy-washy idea than what I read in the Sunday paper from Chris Quinn and Andy Reilly. They want independents to vote in the primaries. That is just plain dumb. I am a paying member of the Republican National Committee. I put my money where my mouth is and I belong to my local Republican club. I put money there too and I expect to be able to vote for the Republican to run for office that I wish. If an Independent wants to vote in the primary then for heaven’s sake reregister as a Democrat or as a Republican. Allowing independents to vote in the primaries is about as stupid as allowing an illegal alien to vote in our country. I am sick to death of these wishy-washy stupid political wonders.

Donald Trump can fly to Alabama for a rally but could not go 2 miles to Arlington Cemetery to honor our veterans who gave their lives for our freedom. It was Veterans Day!

I know a great place for you to go where they don’t start to celebrate Christmas until December 24th. Church! They will welcome you with open arms, you can avoid the crowds, and it might bring some peace to your heart and soul. JESUS IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON

PROVE IT

We had a person call in claiming that Obama “initiated a war on law enforcement.” Interesting. How exactly did he do that? Words are cheap. Explanations take a bit of thought. Another said that Obama was “the worst person” he or she has ever seen. Well now. He/she is entitled to their opinion. However, if the person truly believes that what we have in the White House now is a better, more moral person than Obama, his/her bar for morality must be set low indeed. And finally, frequent flyer “Mr. Tom” notes that National Geographic said we have more ice now “than anytime before.” Got that. Than anytime before, I supposed, in the history of the planet. Sadly, I can find no evidence that the NG ever said that. Proof, you know? Mr. Tom should try providing some. That would be refreshing. JB
