It is with a heavy heart that we have to say goodbye to our husband, father and poppy, Rocco “Rocky” Gaspari Sr. who passed away in the presence of his loving family on November 27, 2018 at the age of 80.

Born, raised and a lifelong resident of Linwood, PA, Rocco will be sadly missed by his family and many friends. The son of the late Rocco Gaspari who died just prior to his birth, he was raised by his mother, Anna Rapposelli Gaspari.

A graduate of Chichester High School, class of 1955, Rocco began working for PECO after high school. As a supervisor, he retired after 40 years of service. After his retirement, he was elected Magisteria­l District Justice and served in that position for 12 years until 2005. Rocco was very active in the community throughout his years. At one time, he served as president and coach of the Mickey Vernon Little League, president of the Lower Delco Lions Club, president of the PSATC, president of the District Justices Associatio­n, honorary lifetime member of the Lower Chichester Fire Co., member of the Chichester Rotary Club, Township Commission­er for 28 years, serving as president for 26 years, and receiving the Man of the Year Award - Abruzzi Assoc. & Christophe­r Columbus Associatio­n. Rocco was well respected in the community for his honesty, dedication and his wisdom. In his spare time, he enjoyed summer vacations in Longneck, DE. Devoted to his faith, he served as Eucharisti­c Minister and Lector at Immaculate Conception de Lourdes Catholic Church in Marcus Hook. Rocco was also a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Claymont, DE. In addition to his parents, Rocco is preceded in death by his 3 siblings, Mickey Gaspari, Albert Gaspari and Raymond Gaspari. Rocco is survived by his wife of 59 years, Catherine “Kay” McGinn Gaspari, 3 children, Rocco Gaspari Jr. and his wife Susan, Thomas Gaspari and his wife Annmarie and Cathi Stradley and her husband Bill, 6 grandchild­ren, Annamaria (Matt) Berger, Michael (Steph) Gaspari, Christophe­r (Morgan) Gaspari, Billy Stradley Jr., Riley Stradley and Danny Stradley and

3 great grandchild­ren, Natalie Gaspari, Nathan Berger and Audrey Gaspari. A viewing will be held on Tuesday evening, 6-9PM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA and on Wednesday at Holy Rosary Church, 3200 Philadelph­ia Pike, Claymont, DE from 9:00-10:30AM. A Funeral Mass will follow at
