Bertram R. “Mickey” Jackson,

86, of Eddystone passed away on Friday, February 8th.

He was born in Chester to the late Bertram and Anna Jackson. He was a graduate of Chester High School, and later went on to earn a degree from Cheney University. Mickey worked as a program coordinato­r for the Chester-Upland School District. After his retirement, he went on to work as a salesman for Levitz Furniture. He enjoyed playing golf, fishing, playing poker, and was an excellent dart player. He was a veteran of the US Air Force.

He was predecease­d by his brother, Frank Jackson. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Claire Jackson; children, Patrick (Lisa) Caffey, Connie (Steve) Hopkins, and Lydia (Bill) McAllister; brother, Kenneth Jackson; sisters, Nancy Trainor and Kathy Jackson; grandchild­ren, Dana, Gregory, and Steven; greatgrand­son, Matthew; pets, Boo-Boo and Sylvia.

His funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 13th at 11am at the Carr Funeral Home 935 S. Providence Rd. (Rte. 320) Wallingfor­d, PA. Friends and family are invited to call from 10-11am at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Lawn Croft Cemetery.
