Goldbach reaches 1,000 points in Fords’ home finale
Macy Goldbach waited for the final home game of her collegiate career to become a member of an exclusive club at Haverford College.
The senior from Garnet Valley scored 23 points to become the ninth player in school history to score 1,000 points in a career as the Fords rolled over rival Swarthmore, 84-39, Wednesday night.
Goldbach reached the
1,000-point mark on a layup with
2:07 left in the game. Annie-Sophia Capuzzi added 17 points, and Maddie Gallic and Caroline Andersen chipped in with 11 points each for the Fords.
Kendall Tribus led Swarthmore with 12 points.

Nafisa Saunders of Neumann led all scorers with 27 points and 11 rebounds. Maia Bryson added 19 points, and Mariah Maciejewski contributed a double-double with
10 points and 14 rebounds. DESALES 62, EASTERN 59 >> Samantha Sinkus had 20 points and 12 boards to pace the Bulldogs to victory.
Regie Robinson (18 points) and Viki Kneis (12) paced the offense for the Eagles.
SAINT JOSEPH’S 55, MASSACHUSETTS 54 >> Katie Jekot’s contested
3-pointer with 9.6 seconds left sealed the victory for the Hawks.
Alyssa Monaghan (Bonner & Prendergast All-Delco) led all scorers with 20 points. Jekot finished with eight, and Katie Mayock seven for the Hawks.

Cam Wiley quickly ended any hopes Haverford had up upsetting seventh-ranked Swarthmore.

19 points in the first half to help the Garnet jump out to an 11-point halftime lead and pull away for a
79-57 victory over the Fords. Conor Harkins added 13 points, Justin Tucker and Zac O’Dell 10 each for Swarthmore (21-3, 14-3), which can clinch first place and the top seed in the Centennial Conference tournament with a win over McDaniel Saturday.

NEUMANN 89, CABRINI 79 >> The Knights (12-12, 3-10) only played seven players, but that was enough to knock off the Cavaliers thanks to 21 points from Isaiah Wilmore, 20 from Waheem Lowman and double-doubles by Raquan Brown-Johnson (19 points, 11 rebounds) and Mark Perry (16 points,
11 boards).
Anthony Wright-Downing of Cabrini led all scorers with 25 points. He also grabbed nine rebounds. Voshon Mack added 18 points and Mike Doyle (Penncrest) had 12 for the Cavaliers (6-18, 4-7).
