Goldbach reaches 1,000 points in Fords’ home finale

Macy Goldbach waited for the final home game of her collegiate career to become a member of an exclusive club at Haverford College.

The senior from Garnet Valley scored 23 points to become the ninth player in school history to score 1,000 points in a career as the Fords rolled over rival Swarthmore, 84-39, Wednesday night.

2:07 left in the game. Annie-Sophia Capuzzi added 17 points, and Maddie Gallic and Caroline Andersen chipped in with 11 points each for the Fords.

Kendall Tribus led Swarthmore with 12 points.

Jamyra Maye and Marlon Herring tallied 14 points apiece for the Wolves.

20 points, five boards and two helpers to keep the Cavaliers (167, 11-0) undefeated in the Atlantic East. Lexi Edwards chipped in with 11 points for Cabrini.

Nafisa Saunders of Neumann led all scorers with 27 points and 11 rebounds. Maia Bryson added 19 points, and Mariah Maciejewsk­i contribute­d a double-double with

10 points and 14 rebounds. DESALES 62, EASTERN 59 >> Samantha Sinkus had 20 points and 12 boards to pace the Bulldogs to victory.

Regie Robinson (18 points) and Viki Kneis (12) paced the offense for the Eagles.

3-pointer with 9.6 seconds left sealed the victory for the Hawks.

Alyssa Monaghan (Bonner & Prendergas­t All-Delco) led all scorers with 20 points. Jekot finished with eight, and Katie Mayock seven for the Hawks.

Cam Wiley quickly ended any hopes Haverford had up upsetting seventh-ranked Swarthmore.

79-57 victory over the Fords. Conor Harkins added 13 points, Justin Tucker and Zac O’Dell 10 each for Swarthmore (21-3, 14-3), which can clinch first place and the top seed in the Centennial Conference tournament with a win over McDaniel Saturday.

11 boards).

Anthony Wright-Downing of Cabrini led all scorers with 25 points. He also grabbed nine rebounds. Voshon Mack added 18 points and Mike Doyle (Penncrest) had 12 for the Cavaliers (6-18, 4-7).
