Lansdowne relay teams key win over Lawrence Park

It was a record-setting day for the Lansdowne’s 14-and-under boys and girls relays in a 278-198 Delco Swim League victory over Lawrence Park.

The 14U girls relay of Ashley Foppa, Velina Diguey, Elise Olmstead and Kelly McKoue set the team record with a time of

2:00.82. On the boys side, the team mark was broken by Ian Domabach, Reilly Shaffer, Luke Olmstead and Finn Hilliard with a time of 1:50.80.

McKoue also made history with team records in the 14U backstroke (31.57) and individual medley (1:08.78).

Briana Klock (10U fly, free, free relay), Allison Stewart (18U IM, breast, free relay) and Julia Curran (18U fly, free, free relay) all won three events for Lawrence Park. KNOWLTON 235, BRIARCLIFF­E 226 >> Leading the way for Knowlton were triple winners Sal Salera (8U back, free, free relay), Brendan Dougherty (10U fly, breast, free relay) and Deidra Scudder (14U IM, fly, back).

Addyson Despeaux broke a 1995 team record in the 12U free with a time of 30.41 seconds. She teamed up with Ava Despeaux, Kylie Pellegrino and Gianna DePasquale to set the team record in the 14U free relay, which had stood for 13 years.

Tyler Mantash broke the Ridley Park team record in the 12U fly with a time of

35.22.

Nina Wood (10U fly, breast, free) was the lone triple winner for Riddlewood. ALDAN 235, CLIFTON 190 >> Pushing Aldan to victory were triple winners Carter Kolhoff (8U fly, breast, free), Malayah Watford (8U back, breast, free), Joe Nenstiel

(10U fly, breast, free), Maggie Shelton (12U IM, breast, free relay), John Shelton (14U IM, back, breast), Grace McBlain (14U IM, fly, free relay) and Claire McBlain (18U fly, back, free).

For Clifton, Patrick Rankin triumphed in the 18U back, free and free relay in the losing effort.

CREEKSIDE 343, FOLCROFT 92 >> Helping Creekside to victory were triple winners Emmett Malley (8U fly, free, 10U free relay), Gibbs DiRemigio (14U back, free, 18U free relay), Lily Taylor (18U IM, fly, back), Peter Blackburn (18U IM, breast, free relay), Andrew McLaughlin (18U fly, free, free relay), Orli Schoff (10U fly, back, free relay), Jake Plunkett (10U back, free, 12U free relay), Meredith Seidman (12U fly, free, free relay), Emilio Celebre (12U fly, breast, free relay), Noah Plunkett (12U IM, back, free relay), Kate Blackburn (14U IM, breast, free relay) and Jayda Hargadon (14U fly, free, free relay).

There were no triple winners for Folcroft.

Suburban League

Relay teammates Anna Karpyn and Lyla Kelly combined for seven wins as Swarthmore edged past Hidden Hollow, 266-233.

Karpyn and Kelly were both on the winning 10U medley relay. Kelly won breaststro­ke and butterfly, and Karpyn claimed back and free to go with a leg on the winning free relay.

Aleks Ivanovich won the 14U boys back, free and two relays. Gabe Cocos claimed the 8U boys back, fly and free relay. Sydney Bergstrom was quickest in the 18U girls back, breast and free, and Lyla Kelly claimed the 10U fly and breast with a relay triumph. Lucy Dolle and Gavin Shifflett added two relays wins and one individual triumph each.

Hidden Hollow’s Wyatt Hoke set the team record in the 10U boys 50 fly with a time of 34.75. He also won the 50 free and two relays. Paul Iovacchini made it a clean sweep for 10U boys with back and breast, and Aidan Zipf claimed the 18U back and breast plus two relays.

ARONIMINK 269, PLYMOUTH 226 >> Eight-andunder Dylan Kerins and 18U J.R. Leitz each won their respective back and fly races to go with two relays triumphs for the victors. Chloe McGovern won the 8U girls breast, free and two relays and Connor Hunt claimed the 14U boys breast, fly and two relays.

Mara Hunt and Molly O’Hara combined on two 8U girls relay wins. Pearse McGuinn, Kathryn Yuknek and Duncan McConnell each won two relays and an individual event each.

ST. ALBANS 286, ROSE TREE WOODS 213 >> Rebecca Block claimed the 10U back and fly plus two relays, and Gemma Undercofle­r won the 14U back, free and medley relay to lead St. Albans. Dennis Libke won the

8U medley relay, back and fly on the boys side, and Liza Eruslanova won the 8U girls breast, fly and relay.

Ryan Wanner (10U boys breast and fly), Noah Riches (12U boys free, fly), Gabe Riches (14U boys free, fly) and Katya Eruslanova (14U girls fly and breast) won two individual events and a relay apiece. Eva Kostic added two 10U relays plus the girls breaststro­ke.

Lillian Hickey won the 12U girls breaststro­ke and freestyle to go with two relays triumphs for Rose Tree Woods. Her twotime relay mate Lily Elliott added the backstroke title.

RTW also got big 18U points from Michael Hannig (boys back, two relays), Matthew Gray (boys free, two relays) and Kayla Hammond (girls free, fly and relay). Samantha Martin added two relay titles along with the 12U girls fly crown. WALLINGFOR­D 180, SPLASH 164 >> Maya Putty’s victories in the 10U medley relay, back and breast led Wallingfor­d to the taut victory.

Shane Enyard won two relays and the breast and free to pace Splash. Patrick Rooney won three individual events (breast, fly, free), and Payton Conaway was victorious in the girls 14U fly, free and free relay for Splash.

ACAC 286, ROSE VALLEY 173 >> Eight-and-under mates Owen Stancill, Parker Thomas and Gregor Neigh won two relays and an individual event each for Rose Valley. Sasha Siomades added victories in the boys

14U breast and free as well as the 14U free relay and 18U medley relay. Riley Smith won the 12U back and fly to go with two relays.
