RIGHT ON, MAYOR

Mayor Kirkland is exactly right as to why there was no outcry over a possible DELCORA sale, but there’s another issue here. Why are public institutions run by the county such as Chester Water Authority and DELCORA thinking about selling themselves to Aqua? Aqua is a for-profit institution, DELCORA and Chester Water Authority are not and the only people who are going to benefit from such a sale would be Aqua while the citizens of Delaware County will suffer with higher rates both on the water and on the sewage.

DOWN THE DRAIN

Oh boy, I’m reading this interesting story about DELCORA. I have to ask why do we have county council candidates - not elected officials - people that want to be a candidate to get in the next election and possibly be elected, why do we have them involved in these talks? They’re six-week talks. They’re not coming up for election until next year, 16 months from now. Isn’t that true? I think so, so why are they going to want to talk? The other thing I know. When you get some people dressed up in suits and ties and they put 20 paragraphs together in the Daily Times, it’s foreboding, tells you something bad’s going to happen. They’re getting ready to skin us. They’re a lot of smart people out here. I’m not one of them, but I can see this DELCORA deal is going to cost somebody, me included, a lot of money.

Yeah about the Sound Off, “In The Dark.” You said you’d like to say a little bit about the new B&B that went in the neighborhood. You said you’ve seen ten different faces in the last seven or eight days? I’m glad that you didn’t want to say a lot about this. I’m surprised you didn’t give their license plate numbers and what they had for breakfast. Why don’t you get a hobby or do something constructive?

Congress is on vacation ‘til after Labor Day and we are still paying them. The poor, desperate, nasty Democrats are still trying to impeach Trump with no substantial evidence. Mueller blew them out of the water. They should be ashamed. We are not stupid. We all know Mueller didn’t write the report. It was all a set up against Trump. The Hillary supporters were behind all of this. There are two sets of rules and laws, one for Democrats and one for the normal good American citizens.

LOUDMOUTH

Trump is again showing how out of touch with reality he is. He says the Democrats are being laughed at all over the world when he is the one who was a laughingstock. Both our allies and our adversaries consider him nothing but an arrogant, loudmouth buffoon.

I see where the socalled enlightened liberal left wants to paint over an 80-year-old mural depicting the early years of George Washington at a school named after him out in California. These are the same people that tore down statues of the generals in the South. Reminds me of the Taliban. Tore down all statues of Christianity and other religions in Afghanistan.

SHAME OF VA

Well, I’m glad to see that all the VA hospitals in the country are wellfunded and taking care of all the disabled veterans that we have. Oh wait, that’s another world. But apparently the coward in the White House can get the Supreme Court to take money from the military budget to build a wall that doesn’t do anything, but then you know, he doesn’t care about the VA hospitals because he never served.

MORE TRUMP PLEASE

The only reason I hope Trump wins a second term, it’s because none of the Old Guard Republicans or Democrats like it. They don’t get along with him. He doesn’t have to cater to them and maybe we’ll get rid of this business as usual politics.

Yeah, my son went to The Rolling Stones concert at the Linc the other night and they were very good, very good and something I didn’t know with the Jeff Lurie put in two sections in the Linc that are alcoholand drug-free sober sections,
