Lane restrictions set across Delco for repaving operations
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation will implement lane restrictions on several state highways across the Philadelphia region this week, including Delaware County, for resurfacing operations. The work schedule is:
• August 11 through August 16, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., single lane restriction on Wilmington Pike between Concord Country Club Road and Dilworthtown Road in Chadds Ford;
• August 11 through August 16, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., single lane restriction on East Darby Road between Darby Road and Eagle Road in Haverford;
• August 11 through August 16, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 5 a.m., single lane restriction on Darby Road between West Chester Pike and Sproul Road in Haverford, Darby and Lansdowne;
• August 11 through August 16, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 5 a.m., single lane restriction on Lansdowne Avenue between Garrett Road and West Chester Pike in Upper Darby and Haverford; and
• August 14, from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., lane restrictions with flagging on Baltimore Pike between Jackson Street and Burmont Road/Scottdale Road in Clifton Heights and Lansdowne.
• Motorists will encounter periodic lane closures at several intersections on MacDade Boulevard in Ridley this week as PennDOT continues a project to install ADA-compliant curb ramps. The work will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. between July 15 and July 19 at the following locations: Monta Vista Avenue; School Lane; Fairview Road; Fernwood Road; Forrest Avenue; Edgewood Avenue; Virginia Avenue; Milmont Avenue; Morris Avenue; and Haverford Road/Morton Avenue;
Work will also be performed at the intersection of Chester Road and Fairview Road in Swarthmore.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is expecting daytime lane closures between 9 a.m. and
3 p.m. this week on sections of Interstate 95 and Interstate 476 for digital message sign repair.
The work schedule is:
• August 12, the right lane is scheduled to close on northbound I-95 between Kerlin Street and Edgmont Avenue;
• August 13, the left lane is scheduled to close on southbound I-476 between Chester Road and Route
320; and
• August 14, the right lane is scheduled to close on westbound I-76 between Spring Garden Street and Haverford Avenue.
• Delco motorists will also want to be apprised of the following roadwork this week: Middletown Township
• Baltimore Pike, periodic lane closures between Pennell Road and Valley Road, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays and some possibly some Saturdays from August 19 through June 2020 for utility and road work.
Bethel
• Naamans Creek Road, lane restrictions with flagging between Foulk Road and Steven James Drive,
9 a.m. to 3 p.m. August 12 through August 16 for gas main installation.
Upper Providence and Marple
• Palmer’s Mill Road, continued bridge work between Lakeview Drive and Newtown Street Road from
9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through the summer as crews continue work to expand a bridge over the Springton Reservoir.
