Ricoh to relocate Chescobased U.S. headquarters
EAST WHITELAND >> Ricoh USA Inc. will be moving its U.S. headquarters at the end of this month as part of a multi-year effort to foster collaboration and upgrade its own facilities.
Ricoh will relocate its employees from 70 Valley Stream Parkway in East Whiteland in Chester County, to 300 Eagleview Blvd. in Uwchlan — a move of about eight miles. The move is slated to begin the week of Aug. 26, according to Donna Venable, executive vice president Human Resources, Ricoh.
The company, which offers digital business solutions, announced two facility relocations last week: the Chester County facility and the relocation of the company’s West Caldwell, N.J., location to nearby Parsippany, N.J.
The new facilities are the culmination of “strategic investments” over the last two years that have centered on redesigning and reimagining more than 40 Ricoh offices throughout the U.S., Venable said.
“Similar to how we’ve been helping our customers empower their digital workplaces to better serve their customers, the time is right to embrace change and further enhance employee collaboration within Ricoh’s own offices,” Venable said.
The new facilities will be equipped with Ricoh’s nextgeneration collaboration and productivity solutions, including unified communications systems (UCS), intelligent multifunction printers (MFPs), interactive flat panel displays (IFPDs) and projectors, according to the company.
“In addition to the collaborative technology, the new offices will offer informal meeting spaces and huddle rooms that are great for spontaneous brainstorming, quick collaboration or just building a better rapport among colleagues,” Venable added.
Venable did not say how many employees are affected by the move, but said the current East Whitelandbased employees will relocate to either the new facility of an existing facility in Wayne, adding that there are no job losses associated with the move.
