Linker’s two goals enough for Interboro

Dani Linker accounted for both Interboro goals in a 2-1 Del Val League field hockey win over Academy Park Tuesday.

Logan Stewart and Victoria Smith each had an assist for the Bucs, who received excellent defensive play by Maddy Bonner, Haley Gonzalez and Lauren Perry. Gab MacDonald made seven saves in goal. Cassy Jones scored for Academy Park. In the Central League:

HAVERFORD 8, PENNCREST 0 >>Mia Ciancio, Kate Ardizzi and Erin Kline all netted two goals to power the Fords (3-4, 2-2) to a shutout victory. Paige Corcoran made two saves in goal.

Penncrest goalie Audrey Bassett finished with 13 saves.

GARNET VALLEY 7, RIDLEY 0 >> MaryRose Berry had two goals and an assist to lead the Jags over the Green Raiders. Sophie Easter also tallied twice and goalies Meghan Finnegan and Maura Greek combined on the shutout.

CONESTOGA 7, STRATH HAVEN 0 >> Six players found the back of the cage for the Pioneers, including Chloe Ziegler, who netted a pair of tallies. Katie Clemson earned the shutout in goal.

RADNOR 7, HARRITON 0 >> Barb Civitella recorded a hat trick and Brigid Lowry added two goals and one assist to keep the Raiders (6-0, 4-0) undefeated. Oliva DeCain, Hope Delaney and Madison Milhous paced a defense that limited the Rams to four shots.

In nonleague action:

BONNER & PRENDERGAS­T 1, GERMANTOWN ACADEMY 1 >> Maeve Sullivan scored off a corner shot for the Pandas.

Volleyball

Regan Hickey posted 11 kills, 11 digs and one ace as Cardinal O’Hara blanked Archbishop Wood, 3-0, and stayed undefeated in the Catholic League.

Olivia Reilly (five kills, one block) and Siobhan Boylan (four kills, three blocks) also helped the cause for the Lions (7-1, 3-0), who won by scores of 25-15, 25-12, 25-20.

In the Ches-Mont League:

SUN VALLEY 3, KENNETT 0 >> Rachel DiCarlo flourished on defense in the Vangurds’ 25-17, 25-6, 25-17 victory, racking up 18 digs. Hannah Vickers collected five kills and five aces, while Kristine Guenther and Olivia Nickerson had four kills apiece. Laura Strinzinge­r and Jordan Thompson added three blocks each.

In nonleague action:

GARNET VALLEY 3, ARCHBISHOP CARROLL 0 >> Maddie Wood paced the Jaguars with 30 assists, four aces and three digs, while Sam Mann was dominant with 13 kills and six blocks. Caitlyn Hagerty added five kills and three aces, while Sophia Antignani led the GV defense with 15 digs.

Boys Cross Country

Alex Jaje bested the field with a time of 18:42 to lead Academy Park past Interboro in a Del Val League meet, 21-34.

Sean Kan, Felix Sando and John Ross Flower finished in third, fourth and fifth places for the Knights. Ryan Kirchoof took sixth place.

Leading the way for the Bucs was Dan Shanahan, who claimed second place with a time of 19:21. Nate Shipley (sixth), Aiden Hubis (seventh), Jake Hubis (ninth) and Keenan Lu (10th) also cracked the top-10.

Girls Cross Country

Jill Barrett’s second-place time of 23:16 helped Interboro secure a 15-50 victory over Academy Park.

Laila Ivory of Academy Park took first place with a time of 23:09. Barrett, Chanah Randall and Haley Ward placed second, third and fourth for the Bucs. AP’s Jada Kinlaw and Ava Nguyen went fifth and sixth, respective­ly. The final four spots belonged to Interboro’s Caitlyn Benson, Sophoa Escher, Kim Comny and Alex Gatta.

Girls Tennis

A clean sweep in singles propelled Penn Wood to a 4-1 victory over Chichester in a Del Val League match.

Sallay Tholley was a 6-2, 6-2 winner in the first match. Taylor Davis and Afia BrownBowen followed with straight set victories, as well.

Chi’s lone point came in doubles action as the No. 1 pairing of Vivien Want and Kaitlyn Carpenter claimed a 6-1, 6-4 win.

In the Catholic League:

CARDINAL O’HARA 4, ARCHBISHOP RYAN 1 >> Caroline Lynch and Clare Hayden cruised to victory in singles action as the the Lions

(7-1, 4-0) remained unbeaten in the Catholic League.

First doubles Stephanie Huseby and Elena Coffey earned a 6-1, 6-0 win. Kyle Seegar and Jordan Graney were successful 6-0, 6-0 in the second doubles match.

In the Inter-Ac League:

PENN CHARTER 4, NOTRE DAME 3 >> No. 3 doubles Ginna DeCarlo and Maggie Beck recovered from a shutout in the first set to win the next two. DeCarlo and Beck rallied 0-6, 6-2, 6-2 against Nieve Kelly and Maya Check.

At second doubles, the Irish’s Clare Rivers and Kelly McGlinn earned a hard-fought victory over Marissa Brucker and Grace JordanWein­stein, 6-2, 6-7, 10-3. Ce Ce Quirk was a

6-1, 6-0 winner at third singles.

In a nonleague match:

BARRACK HEBREW ACADEMY 5, KIMBERTON WALDORF SCHOOL 0 >> Shire Stein, Janie Hershman and Eliana Pasternak were victorious in singles competitio­n for the Cougars. Ruby Benjamin and Samie Zivitz and Maya Langer and Serena Levingston won in double play.

Boys Soccer

Keah Tobey tallied a hat trick as Ridley topped Garnet Valley, 4-2, in the Central League.

Fernando Ibarra added the other goal, and Adam Louricki supplied three assists for the Green Raiders.

Ethan Hensinger and Matt Ominsky scored for Garnet Valley.

Also in the Central League: CONESTOGA 3, STRATH HAVEN 0 >> Charlie Schankweil­er made four saves, but three second-half goals by the Pioneers gave them the win.

In the Bicentenni­al League: CHRISTIAN ACADEMY 6, DELCO CHRISTIAN 1 >> Grant Sareyka scored four times to lead TCA to the win. Jesse Brittain and Moses Uzele added goals for TCA, and Evan Sareyka made eight saves in goal.

Max Cardone had DC’s goal.
