The Pennsylvan­ia Department of Transporta­tion is planning daytime and overnight lane closures on several state highways in Delaware County this week for guide rail repairs, including Interstate 95, Interstate 476 and U.S. 1.

The overnight work schedule will take place Sundays through Fridays, Oct. 19 through Oct. 25, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning.

The following areas are targeted for repairs9

9 I-95 in both directions between the Delaware State Line and the Bartram Avenue Interchang­es in Chester, Chichester, Lower Chichester, Ridley, Upper Tinicum townships, Upland, Ridley Park and Chester9

9 I-476 in both directions between I-95 and the Montgomery County Line in Ridley, Nether Providence, Marple, Haverford and Radnor9 and

9 U.S. 1 in both directions between the Chester County Line and the Montgomery County Line in Upper Darby, Haverford, Springfiel­d, Marple Upper Providence, Middletown, Concord, Birmingham and Chester Heights.

9 Motorists will also encounter lane restrictio­ns on several state highways across the Philadelph­ia region for resurfacin­g operations as a part of several projects to repair and resurface more than 200 miles of state highway in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelph­ia counties.

The Delco work schedule and locations are9

9 Oct. 19, through Oct. 18, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 5 a.m., a single lane closure on Sproul Road between State Road and West Chester Pike in Springfiel­d and Marple for milling and paving operations­9

9 Oct. 19 through Oct. 18, 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., a lane restrictio­n on Burmont Road between State Road and Woodland Avenue in Upper Darby for milling and paving operations­9and

9 Oct. 14 through Oct. 18, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., a lane restrictio­n on Lenni Road between New Road and Lundgren Road in Middletown and Aston for high friction service treatment.

9 PECO Energy is additional­ly planning single lane closures from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. this week on two state highways for utility constructi­on. The work schedule is9

9 Oct. 15 through Oct.

29, weekday lane closures on northbound U.S. 202 between Oakland Road and Dilworthto­wn Road in Concord, Thornbury and Chadds Ford9 and

9 Oct. 16 through Oct. 18, lane closures on West Chester Pike between New Ardmore Avenue and Ferguson Avenue in Marple.

Delco motorists will also want to be aware of the following new and ongoing road projects this week9 Springfiel­d

9 Sproul Road, lane closure with flagging at the County Club Drive Intersecti­on beginning Oct. 17 for water main installati­on. The lane closure will be in place weekdays from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. through early November. Aldan

9 Providence Road, closures between Oak Avenue and Clifton Avenue around the clock beginning Oct. 14 through early November for water main installati­on. During constructi­on, Providence Road motorists will be directed to use Oak Avenue9 Oak Lane, MacDade Boulevard and Clifton Avenue.

Upper Providence and Marple

9 Palmer’s Mill Road, lane restrictio­ns with flagging between Lakeview Drive and Newtown Street, 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Oct. 14 through Oct. 25 for a project to replace the bridge that carries Palmer’s Mill Road over the Springton Reservoir.

PECO Energy is planning lane closures this week on several state highways in the county for utility constructi­on. All work will take place from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

The work schedule is9 Upper Providence

9 Chapel Hill Road, lane closures between Cove Lane and Geist 9iew Circle, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. through Oct. 14 for utility constructi­on. Collingdal­e

9 Clifton Avenue, lane closures between MacDade Boulevard and Pusey Avenue 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. through Oct.

18 for utility constructi­on. Middletown

9 Baltimore Pike, periodic lane closures between Pennell Road and 9alley Road, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. weekdays and some possibly some Saturdays from through June 2020 for utility and road work. Nether Providence

9 Rose 9alley Road, closures between Providence Road and Avondale Road,

9 a.m. to 9 p.m. weekdays through early November for water main installati­on. Rose

9alley Road motorists will be directed to use Providence Road, Chester Road and Yale Avenue during constructi­on.
