The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is planning daytime and overnight lane closures on several state highways in Delaware County this week for guide rail repairs, including Interstate 95, Interstate 476 and U.S. 1.
The overnight work schedule will take place Sundays through Fridays, Oct. 19 through Oct. 25, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning.
The following areas are targeted for repairs9
9 I-95 in both directions between the Delaware State Line and the Bartram Avenue Interchanges in Chester, Chichester, Lower Chichester, Ridley, Upper Tinicum townships, Upland, Ridley Park and Chester9
9 I-476 in both directions between I-95 and the Montgomery County Line in Ridley, Nether Providence, Marple, Haverford and Radnor9 and
9 U.S. 1 in both directions between the Chester County Line and the Montgomery County Line in Upper Darby, Haverford, Springfield, Marple Upper Providence, Middletown, Concord, Birmingham and Chester Heights.
9 Motorists will also encounter lane restrictions on several state highways across the Philadelphia region for resurfacing operations as a part of several projects to repair and resurface more than 200 miles of state highway in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties.

9 Oct. 19 through Oct. 18, 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., a lane restriction on Burmont Road between State Road and Woodland Avenue in Upper Darby for milling and paving operations9and
9 Oct. 14 through Oct. 18, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., a lane restriction on Lenni Road between New Road and Lundgren Road in Middletown and Aston for high friction service treatment.
9 PECO Energy is additionally planning single lane closures from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. this week on two state highways for utility construction. The work schedule is9

Delco motorists will also want to be aware of the following new and ongoing road projects this week9 Springfield
9 Sproul Road, lane closure with flagging at the County Club Drive Intersection beginning Oct. 17 for water main installation. The lane closure will be in place weekdays from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. through early November. Aldan
9 Providence Road, closures between Oak Avenue and Clifton Avenue around the clock beginning Oct. 14 through early November for water main installation. During construction, Providence Road motorists will be directed to use Oak Avenue9 Oak Lane, MacDade Boulevard and Clifton Avenue.
Upper Providence and Marple
9 Palmer’s Mill Road, lane restrictions with flagging between Lakeview Drive and Newtown Street, 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Oct. 14 through Oct. 25 for a project to replace the bridge that carries Palmer’s Mill Road over the Springton Reservoir.
PECO Energy is planning lane closures this week on several state highways in the county for utility construction. All work will take place from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

9 Chapel Hill Road, lane closures between Cove Lane and Geist 9iew Circle, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. through Oct. 14 for utility construction. Collingdale

9 a.m. to 9 p.m. weekdays through early November for water main installation. Rose
9alley Road motorists will be directed to use Providence Road, Chester Road and Yale Avenue during construction.
