St. Herman’s holds annual Russian Food Festival

Saint Herman Orthodox Church, 1855 Middletown Rd., Glen Mills will hold its annual Russian Food Festival and Shopping Extravagan­za Festival 12 noon to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8 and Saturday, Nov. 9 and 12 noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sunday, Nov. 10. Admission is free and there is plenty of free parking. The event will be held rain or shine.

Participan­ts can enjoy authentic perogies, stuffed cabbage, potato pancakes and more, including homemade baked goods. People can eat in or take out, tour the church, shop for jewelry, gifts, rare religious items, and collectabl­es from around the world. Vendors needed for Girl Scout vendor fair

Holmes Presbyteri­an Church hosts spaghetti dinner

Holmes Presbyteri­an Church, 375 Holmes Rd., will hold their annual Spaghetti Dinner/Bake Sale to benefit their youth group on Saturday, November 16 from 4:30-7:30 p.m.. Dinner includes a beverage, bread, salad, dinner, and dessert. Tickets are $9.50 for adults, and $4 for children.

Springfiel­d Library holds Star Party

Springfiel­d Township Library invites the community to its first-ever Star Party, presented by the Delaware Valley Amateur Astronomy Club, 6:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 4. HEADstrong Foundation hosts community blood drive

The HEADstrong Foundation will host an American Red Cross blood drive 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9 at the Ridley Community Center, Morton Ave., Ridley Township. Donors of all blood types are urgently needed to donate blood in support of those fighting cancer, patients with sickle cell disease and others facing serious illness.

Havertown Choristers present free winter concert on Nov. 25

The Havertown Choristers, directed by Jennifer Cox, will present its Winter Concert 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 25 in the Haverford High School auditorium, 200 Mill Rd., Havertown. The Choristers will present a varied program including “Glorious Everlastin­g” by Cousins, “Psalm 100” by Schütz/Lynn, “What Child” by Lohman, and “‘Twas the

Night Before Christmas” by Darby/Simeone. In addition, the audience will be invited to join in singing the “Hallelujah Chorus” from Handel’s Messiah as well as a group of Christmas Carols.
