MAGIC MIKE

Very sad that the police commissioner of Upper Darby Mike Chitwood will be retiring. This is one of the tragedies of the Democrats takeover of Delaware County. They will never be able to replace this man with all his experience and dedication. Good luck to Mike Chitwood. You will be missed. Let’s see what the Dems are going to do. Don’t celebrate too much. Now you need to get some work done.

FORMER UPPER DARBY RESIDENT

STRANGE DOINGS

Yeah, this is Jack from Aston. Just finding it awful strange that Michael Chitwood is now deciding to retire because Tom Micozzie lost the election and not only did he lose the election, he lost to a woman and I guess Michael Chitwood doesn’t want to take orders from a woman. Just wondering. It’s awful strange.

JACK FROM ASTON

SIREN CALL

To the people complaining about fire sirens going off in their neighborhoods. Well until recently we’ve never had gunfire going off in our neighborhoods and to tell the truth I would much rather have fire sirens going off in my neighborhood than have gunfire going off in my neighborhood.

DEMS THE BREAKS

Well, it looks like the first casualty of the Democratic takeover of the county and especially township of Upper Darby would be Police Superintendent

Michael Chitwood. The man who’s done such a great, spectacular job of trying to keep our township law-abiding is stepping down and it can’t be just a coincidence that it happened two days after the election. I’m sure one has a lot to do with the other.

BLAME GAME

Republican Sound Off callers keep saying that the new Democratic-controlled County Council will raise taxes. Didn’t they notice that the Republicancontrolled County Council has given us the highest taxes in the five suburban Philadelphia counties. I guess now they’ll notice that we have the highest taxes and blame that on the newly elected Democrats.

WAR ON DRUGS

The president offered assistance in catching the murderers of the nine Americans in Mexico, but he needs to do much more than that. His efforts would be better served by partnering with the Mexicans to get rid of the drug cartels. We must bear some responsibility for the lawless cast down there because if not for Americans insatiable appetite for drugs, the drug cartels would not exist.

OLD MEDIA MUSTANG

RACING AHEAD

I know if you print this, I will be called a racist and a male chauvinist pig but the last election leaves no doubt people are voting by race and gender and not on who is qualified for the job.

JUST WONDERING DAN

CATS’ MEOW

The Veterans Day activities and celebrations pictured in the weekend Times were inspiring. Few people realize that Villanova has produced the most Naval And Marine officers in America outside the military academies.

DELCO DAD

BLIGHT CITY

Upper Darby would be a blight without Police Superintendent Mike Chitwood. The only people that don’t like him are criminals and cops that can’t see their shoes because their stomachs are sticking out over their belt. I’m a former cop on Keystone.

LAW DOGS

Hey, ‘Get Real:’ Why don’t you? Constitution hasn’t mattered to anybody for the last 11 years. What makes you think it’s going to matter for the next 20. He can change the rules any time he wants. He’s got a new attorney general. So would DOJ. They’ll be right there with him for the next 20 years. Wait and see.

GRANNY SPEAKS

To ‘It Will Never End’ and ‘Get real:’ We have rules and regulations called the Constitution. You both are so right. Thank you. Have a good day. God bless Delco.

SO MANY LIES

You do know lies and more lies that the Constitution states free speech in it. I can’t stand them either but the Daily Times, Twitter, New York Times, whoever should be able to show you, you Commie.
