RIP GIGI

I’d like to Sound Off about the very sad passing of Gigi O’Neill. Gigi was much more than a bartender, of which he was excellent. He was also a great philosopher and humanitarian. He told me one time I should quit messing around and proposed marriage to my wife which I did and we’re still together with children and grandchildren. Take care. I’m saddened.

SENECA

THOSE DARN DEMS

The stupid ignorant Democrats aren’t concerned about our country. They are buying votes, giving illegals a driver’s license so they can vote Democrat. They let illegals into our country and don’t want them deported. They weren’t glad that we killed two bad terrorist leaders. They seem to support Iran after Soleimani was killed. Democrats and news media are bad people. They won’t report the truth. Now people in Iran are not supporting their leader, they’re protesting since that plane was shot down. So the only ones supporting Iran now are the Democrats. So these Democrats should leave our country, go to Iran and see how long you survive.

THREE OF A KIND

Joe Biden is making a fool of himself every minute of every day. Now he says Iran wants our troops out instead of saying it was Iraq. He can’t be trusted as president. The same with Bernie Sanders, comparing Trump to Putin. Sanders and Biden are sick individuals and Buttigieg

blames Trump because Iran round shot down the Ukrainian airliner. These candidates have to go. They aren’t worth a hill of beans. The Democrats have no good candidates.

SHARE THE BURDEN

This is in response to “One Who is Paying Attention” who said that to American military bases were attacked last week and not one country in the entire world has come to our defense, this is America’s standing in the world in the age of Trump and then goes on to disparage Trump some more. If he was paying attention he or she would realize that’s been our standing in the world for decades, actually in the past 40 or 50 years since World War II. All the other countries have let America take the brunt of everything and pay for everything, not only in money but in blood. That was one of Trump’s main concerns. He said while running for president that he would get other countries to do their share and that’s what he’s been trying to do.

ONE OR THE OTHER

Think about the mess the little boy in the White House has gotten us into. It proves one of two things without a doubt. He’s either working for Putin, or he’s clueless.

RIGHT ON

OH SAY DID HE SEE

I was at my grandson’s high school basketball game. One man sat during the National Anthem and a man a few seats away stared at him and passed the news down the row to other people and then proceeded up the bleachers beaconing to others that .... “the ---- didn’t stand.” Mr. Judgmental did not give any attention to the flag or anthem himself and could have escalated an otherwise peaceful event. The man who didn’t stand paid him no mind but I took it personally. I thank God for the two people on either side of me who calmed me down as I headed towards the judgmental knucklehead. I used to tear up when singing the anthem until at age 60 I found out the history of the song and read the entire song. I was ready to give the judgmental busybody my opinion of his little indignation. I do not believe the anthem is the only sign of true patriotism. Thinking out of the box I realize you can love this country enough to allow others to love it in their own way also.

WE SHALL SEE

I was reading the guest column by Sen. Tom Cotton on case for killing Soleimani. And though I agree with much of what he says, there is some points on which he seems clueless. One point, he says the killing was justified and legally sound. And was strategically sensible. It was justified. But legally sound? We attacked an enemy on another nation’s sovereign soil without their permission. Would Canada, England, or any other NATO ally allow us to do the same thing on their territory? Would we even have attempted it? I highly doubt it. As for strategically sensible, only time will tell.
