GRATEFUL IN RIDLEY

- RIDLEY TOWNSHIP SENIOR CITIZEN JUST SAYING IN ASTON FRANK FROM MIDDLETOWN NOT FOOLING US PRIMOS POLITICIAN

Wanted to send a heartfelt thank you to James May Costumes in Folsom. Today I picked up two protective masks for my husband and I. They are making masks and donating them. Jim and Betty Lou thank you. Stay well.

A QUESTION OF COMPETENCE

To “Grateful in Brookhaven,” I find it hard to follow your logic when you say stop bashing the president. Look at what we’re dealing with. That’s why we’re bashing him. He knew about the coronavirus in January, and said that a miracle was going to end it. And he had a hunch. But we don’t stop him damaged by his opinion and hunches. He’s not a scientist. Yes, it is life and death and the man is still refusing to issue a federal order that would coordinate supplies to help us really deal with it. We’re dealing with a lot of stuff and then you have to throw in he should win reelection. For what? Total incompetence?

THE LAST STAND

I see Jodine Mayberry is doing her last column and the reason is because the Daily Times can’t afford to pay her. This is a shame. The Times is the last bastion of truth in our country. Everything else is corporate owned and corporations don’t want people to know the truth because the truth hurts corporations. It’s sad but true.

When corporations started gobbling up media outlets in the 1980s, thanks to Ronald Reagan, you could see the writing on the wall. We’re going to be inundated with nothing but fake news like Fox News and people are going to believe the crap that they put out instead of actually knowing the facts, which come from things like the Daily Times.

THAT’S THE TICKET

Just wanted everyone to know that I had been using my turtleneck sweaters instead of a mask, and they work just as fine. Thank you

GIVE US A BREAK

I would just like to write an open letter to the governor of Pennsylvania. So many people are out of work because of the sickness from the virus. You have the power to do away with the school taxes this year. Cut it off or something. It’s very high and a lot of people are not going to be able to make it. And the schools are closed, too.

THEM’S THE RULES

This is a message for Target, Walmart, Giant, Acme and every other store that advertises special hours for seniors during the pandemic. If you’re going to advertise them, enforce them. Some stores will not do so. They say they can’t, it’s discriminatory. If somebody walks through the door, they have that serve them. They have to let them shop. I call that bull. This is a pandemic. If you’re going to advertise special hours for seniors, enforce them.

Otherwise, don’t bother.

TIME FOR HIM TO GO

I’d like to Sound Off about the recent White House press meeting where President Milquetoast said, “This is no time to play politics” and then a few sentences later eviscerated the Democrats for having the nerve to say they need a bipartisan committee to oversee what’s going on. I’ll be glad when they can say “You’re fired.”

IN GOD’S HANDS

I’ve noticed that you have not printed once all the people that are calling in Sound Off to tell the people in the world to bring God back into our country and into our lives.

This has to be done. We have to ask our Lord to bring himself back in our country and our world. He and only he can stop this virus. We have to pray that he gives all the help to all the doctors and all the scientists so that they can find a cure for this horrible virus. Please, all of you, realize that God has to be in your heart and he has to be in our lives in our country. We ask our Lord to come back into our country and to make it better safe and healthier.

DAY IN THE PARK

On Thursday in the local park, there was a big group of guys playing soccer and a police car drove by right in the park and nothing. He just kept going on his merry way. I thought there was supposed to be some rule about group sports.
