STRONG STOMACHS

- ANDY FROM HAVERTOWN TRUMP 2020 ENVY UNBELIEVABLE REMEMBER IN NOVEMBER

There is talk going around that some people are taking chemicals to either cure or avoid the coronavirus, I can’t imagine anyone of sound mind would take something that smells or tastes horrible to begin with. It has to be a violent reaction if you just took a teaspoon of this stuff. How in the world could you drink any substantial amount?

SILENCE IS GOLDEN

The media silent about the sexual allegations against Joe Biden. If it was Donald Trump or Brett Kavanaugh it would be frontpage news on your paper and everywhere else. What a double standard.

TWO CAME THROUGH

Yes, I was just like to thank Trader Joe’s and Costco for not forgetting us in Chester yesterday. We went down and got turkey and roast beef. And they’ve been feeding us now for the past two months on the corner of Winchester. So I need to let them know, thank you so much. I really appreciate it. I’m from Chester

START AT THE TOP

Yes, this time last week you announced in your paper 400 people from the county were laid off. My question to you is, why didn’t the county council members, which are parttime jobs, take a 20 percent pay cut? Some of the other administrators make over six figures. Now Upper Darby today is laying people off. I don’t see anything about the mayor any of the council members taking pay cuts. Why aren’t these people taking pay cuts before you lay off other people? Just consider me a taxpaying constituent and one who’s trying to make ends meet.

THANKS TO GREAT NEIGHBORS

Hi, there’s a few things on my mind and like to tell you about them. First of all, Phil Heron, I just wish all the luck in the world and to your family, too. I always like his column. Also I would like to say good luck to the new guy, Joe Hart. Second I want to say many thanks to my Brookhaven neighbor — Joanne puts the Daily Times on my front step, rain or shine, and Joanne and Carol put my trash cans back. They supply me with books and magazines and magazine subscriptions and Terry and Mark supply me with personal items. I just want to say a million thanks to all of them. I’m 88 years old, and I really appreciate it. Thank you.

STAY POSITIVE, SOUND OFF

It would be really nice if Sound Off would turn into something more positive and forget about the politics all the time. Get the hint.

LOOK AT THE BRIGHT SIDE

I’ll tell you this coronasvirus in a way is a blessing to some of the working people who get to work out of their house and don’t have to get up that hour and half early or be 2 minutes late for work and have their job threatened. They probably take a lot of breaks and the longer than a half hour or an hour lunch because they’re home and sitting there and their pajamas. So I guess it ain’t all bad and wrong. That’s all I got to say. I wish I had that when I worked.

POOR NANCY

I think there’s a problem with Nancy Pelosi.

She was on TV this morning. She looks bad, waving her hand all over, stumbling over words. She sounded like Joe Biden. Pelosi wasn’t making sense. When speaking she didn’t answer the question she was asked just talked about what she wanted to say. It was hard to watch. I think this virus is starting to affect people — not actually having the virus, but trying to deal with it. It’s been a long time for people trying to adjust to what’s happening. Hopefully, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel.

TAKE A CUT

Will you speak to your local politicians? Do you get it? Our businesses don’t have any money coming in. We had to lay some people off and take a pay cut. Don’t expect us to pay your way. We’re already laid off. I’ll let you do the same. Can you run your business with the money that’s coming in when your business goes under it? Is President Trump going to bail you out?
