Lebanon Valley College

ANNVILLE, PA. » More than

850 students were named to the Dean’s List for the spring 2020 semester at Lebanon Valley College. Dean’s list students must maintain a GPA of at least

3.4 out of 4.0. Local students include:

• Macy Kreider of Bethel, a graduate of Mason Dixon Homeschool­ers Associatio­n, who is pursuing a bachelor of science in early childhood education and special education.

• Kelsey Czyszczon of Aston, a graduate of Sun Valley High School, who is pursuing a bachelor of science and doctor of physical therapy in exercise science and physical therapy.

• Michael Hamilton of Garnet Valley, a graduate of Garnet Valley High School, who received a bachelor of science in early childhood education and special education.

Kevin Griffith of Aston presented scholarly work at Lebanon Valley College’s annual Inquiry symposium. This year’s Inquiry presentati­ons were virtually displayed on a custom website for the event as part of LVC’s virtual end-of-year celebratio­ns.

Griffith, a graduate of Sun Valley High School, is pursuing a doctor of physical therapy in physical therapy at The Valley. Griffith shared a project titled: Comparison of High-Intensity Resistance and Power Training Programs in PreFrail and Frail Older Adults.

Montclair State University

MONTCLAIR, N.J. » Montclair State University has named more than 5,000 students to the Fall 2019 Dean’s List. The Dean’s List, issued after the close of the Fall and Spring semesters by the academic deans, gives recognitio­n to students with a 3.500 or higher semester GPA if a minimum of 12 credits is earned in courses that contribute to the GPA and if there are no incomplete grades for that semester. Named to the Dean’s List are local students Anna Scharf of Media, who is majoring in Visual Arts and Talia Steinmetz of Glen Mills, who is majoring in Filmmaking.

Cedar Crest College

ALLENTOWN » Catherine Olshefski of Media, Tahira Ahmad of Lansdowne, Rebecca Dolan of Wayne, Alexis Domingo-Cowan of Glenolden and Grace Dougherty of Ardmore, were named to the Spring Dean’s List at Cedar Crest College. The Dean’s List recognizes students who have earned a grade point average of 3.65 or higher in the academic semester.

Cedar Crest College celebrated the Class of 2020 virtually this year by providing students with a message from President Elizabeth Meade, posting online pictures, and creating a website dedicated to the graduates. Graduates include Nicole Bianco of Ardmore, Rebecca Dolan of Wayne, and Alexis DomingoCow­an of Glenolden.

Salus University

Sarah Boudwin, MEd

‘20, of Secane, graduated magna cum laude with a Master of Education degree from Salus University Blindness and Low Vision Studies during the 120th commenceme­nt ceremony, a virtual event that streamed online May 22 due to the coronaviru­s pandemic. Nearly 300 students at Salus University in Elkins Park, Pa., completed requiremen­ts for either master’s or doctoral degrees after the

2020 spring semester. Boudwin is the wife of Matthew Boudwin, of Secane.

York College of Pennsylvan­ia

YORK » Over 1700 students were named to the Dean’s List at York College of Pennsylvan­ia. To be eligible for this honor, a student must be registered for at least 12 academic credit hours and earn a semester GPA of 3.50 or higher. Local students include Robert Baidokas of Media; Michael Suter of Upper Chichester; Anna Walker of Chadds Ford; Jacqueline Wynes of Aston; David Bingaman of Springfiel­d; Sydney Cashwell of Morton; and Christophe­r Walters of Springfiel­d.

The University of Alabama

TUSCALOOSA, ALA. » The University of Alabama awarded 6,326 degrees this spring. Among the local graduates were Kayla Allen of Media, who received a Bachelor of Science in Commerce & Business Administra­tion; Zachary Micklin of Chadds Ford, who received a Bachelor of Science in Commerce & Business Administra­tion; Leigh Robertson of Glen Mills, who received a Bachelor of Science in Commerce & Business Administra­tion; and Kayla Sivel of Glen Mills,, who received a Bachelor of Science in Commerce & Business Administra­tion.

Hood College

FREDERICK, MD. » Daniel Shepherd, of Secane, graduated from Hood College in May with a bachelor’s degree in Law and Criminal Justice. Shepherd was named to the Dean’s List at Hood College for the spring 2020 semester. The Dean’s List recognizes degree-seeking students who completed at least six semester hours of work with at least a 3.5 semester GPA.

Clemson University

CLEMSON, S.C. » Constance Thompson of Media graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Performing Arts. Thompson was among more than 4,007 students who received degrees awarded in May.

University of Northern Colorado

GREELEY, COLO. » Jane Randolph of Newtown Square received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Internatio­nal Affairs, Cum Laude from University of Northern Colorado at the end of the spring 2020 semester. Due to COVID-19, UNC reschedule­d in-person commenceme­nt ceremonies in May will be held in December.

East Stroudsbur­g University

EAST STROUDSBUR­G » A total of 1,802 students have been named to the Dean’s List at East Stroudsbur­g University of Pennsylvan­ia (ESU) for the Spring 2020 semester of the 2019-2020 academic year, according to Joanne Bruno, J.D., provost and vice president for academic affairs.

Local students include: Jenna Dibona, Communicat­ions, of Aston; Corryn Gamber, Business Management, of Media; Bailey McMaster, Physical Education, of Garnet Valley; Amanda Goodyear, Nursing, of Springfiel­d; Jessica Greco, Business Management, of Morton.

Plymouth State University

PLYMOUTH, N.H. » Brendahn Brawley of Morton, has been named to the Plymouth State University Dean’s List for the Spring 2020 semester. To be named to the Dean’s List, a student must achieve a grade point average between 3.5 and 3.69 during the spring semester and must have attempted at least 12 credit hours during the semester. Brawley is a Accounting major at Plymouth State.

Belmont University

NASHVILLE, TENN. » Lauren Hackett of Media and Dana Jacobs of Media achieved the Dean’s List at Belmont University for the Spring 2020 semester.

Eligibilit­y is based on a minimum course load of 12 hours and a quality grade point average of 3.5 with no grade below a C.

University of Vermont

BURLINGTON, VT. » Dillon Healy of Rutledge graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropolo­gy during commenceme­nt ceremonies on May 17. The university conferred degrees this year on 3,183 graduates.

Georgia Tech

ATLANTA, GA. » The Georgia Institute of Technology awarded degrees to approximat­ely 4,050 undergradu­ate and graduate students at the conclusion of spring semester. Students were celebrated during a virtual celebratio­n held on May 1. They will also be honored during in-person commenceme­nt ceremonies to be held on campus later this year.

Among the graduates were: Matthew White of Chadds Ford, Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineerin­g; and Stella Chen of Garnet Valley, Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.
