I’d like to Sound Off about the headline in the Daily Times. It said Vladimir Putin overwhelmingly was voted back into office until 2036. He’s literally president for life. I hope to God that Donald Trump doesn’t see this because the first thing he’s going to do is get on the phone and asked his good pal Vladimir how he pulled that off because that’s something he’d be interested in. Emperor King For Life Donald, the goofiest president in history.
BAD MOVE IN MEDIA
Hey Media council: You were so wrong to fire Sgt. Carroll. Yes what he wrote was a stupid mistake. We all make mistakes at times. In no way should he have been fired. You jumped on the current band wagon against the police and destroyed a 27-year career. I can only hope he sues the borough for a very large amount. His firing was a travesty. For the record I am not a police officer, just a 70-year-old law-abiding citizen who will never dine in Media again. UPSET IN RP
‘FIT’ TO BE TIED?
Pretty nice resume of the new executive director. Councilwoman Reuther was “blown away.”
But what did he leave out? Council should look into why Mr. Lazarus was fired from Ann Arbor. The article stated there was “friction” between him and the council. What makes Delaware County think he’s a good fit? Or is he a Democrat and will “get along” with the members. Council should keep residents informed.
WOLF MAN
Well, no one can say that our governor is a sheep in wolf’s clothing ,or the Big Bad Wolf. But I can say this: Gov. Wolf is taking care of his pack, and is truly a pack leader whether we are allowed to open up or not. Look at the Integrity and respect he has for our state. Imagine if he did open up ... now that is something to howl about

NAMING NAMES
I was under the impression that Sound Off was for everybody in Delaware County, not just for the Democrats to use their hate name-calling of people who have different opinions than them. I guess not. It should be called Democratic Sound Off.
ONE BIG MISTAKE
Fired! How could Sgt. Carroll be fired after 27 years of serving our borough? This is going to cost us in many ways. I’m sure the morale of fellow officers will suffer, the loss of a veteran officer and most likely the cost of litigation and most surely a lump sum payment for improper handling of this matter. What he did was definitely inappropriate. Perhaps a strong write up or several days of suspension were warranted. Unlike many politicians he owned up to his mistake and made up in person with the person he offended. TOTALLY DISGUSTED

Hey Delaware County, do you hear that large rushing sound? That’s the people leaving for Chester County, the state of Delaware and New Jersey because of the reassessment and tax increases coming in 2021. Let the Democrats have the county! OVERTAXED
WOLF WAS RIGHT
Your editorial in Friday’s paper about Gov. Wolf getting it right, I agree with whoever wrote that editorial 1,000 percent. And you are talking actually to somebody who did not vote for Gov. Wolf either time and who cannot stand. Dr. Levine. But they had it right. I had said from the beginning that the states that were opening earlier were going to have trouble. I could not agree more with your editorial, whoever wrote it deserves a pat on the back. It was seriously well written. Enjoy your fourth.

FEELING BLUE
I just wanted to comment about your front page with “Back the Blue.” I think it’s a great idea. And I think we should do more of it. And there should be thousands of people out there protesting and supporting the police. I support the police and the whole law enforcement community.
