I’m about sick of Trump spewing his hateful crap. My roots in this country both African and European, go back centuries before his and many of those KKK and so-called nationalists. They hate us because God says we’re equal and they want to defy him until their dying breath when they can no longer speak and he shows them he made us all equal. They tried to destroy the African continent physically and spiritually beginning with its people.

Someone writing under the heading “Alternative Facts” claimed there was no proof of the president’s having helped African Americans. To that,

I say that, yes, Trump can say wild things sometimes, but African Americans did see record-low unemployment under his presidency. Maybe try to stay on an even keel, rather than constantly racing to the margins.

SELECTIVE HISTORY LESSON

Chris Freind goes back to 1900 to illustrate Black support for the Republican Party. He doesn’t mention the ideological shift to the right soon after. Freind writes Martin Luther King succeeded in achieving freedom by changing the American system from the inside, yet thousands are demonstrating in the streets to achieve those ideals that MLK espoused over 65 years ago.

Freind says, “If Republicans continue to fight for real reforms the votes will continue to follow”. The #1 concern from Black voters I’ve talked to is police reform. Republicans had an excellent chance to address that but instead squandered the opportunity by yielding to their police union donors and presented a token bill that appeased only those on the right. Republicans better step up their game to get the non-white vote and Chris, “it doesn’t get any more Black and white than that”. JAY FROM UPPER

What is that future we are experiencing because of our younger generation? They have no common sense, act irrationally, and don’t care about anyone except themselves. No college education will help if you have no common sense and go to college to party and do drugs. They don’t care that parents are paying a small fortune to give them a future. Young people today, just take care. It’s all about them and what they can do and get away with. It has to stop now. Years ago people acted like responsible adults.

I saw in the online

Delco TImes a sponsored advertisement with the headline, “How you can increase your home’s market value?” sponsored by Rocket Mortgage. I didn’t read it because after receiving my reassessment notice it would have been a waste of time. All of us in Delco do not need to worry about increasing our home’s market value or at least our home’s assessed value. Because the reassessment notice I received provided me with the answer: Just sit back and wait and suck it up.

Yes, “Truth-Seeking Joan,” I’ve received numerous requests for donations here and they’re for the Republican Party and to re-elect Trump. I put them in the circular file. I am a senior citizen and can’t afford more contributions. I need donations myself. And the real kicker is they don’t even put a self-addressed envelope postage paid in with the request.
