Can’t wait to get back to the local library
To the Times:
I don’t know about you, but I’ve missed my local library. I’m getting excited thinking that soon (hopefully very soon), our libraries will reopen. What’s so great about our local libraries? They’re free. Right now the libraries are doing contactless pick up. Easy peasy... go online and place your order. The library staff will contact you via email, text or phone to schedule a pick up. Returns are simply placed back in the drop box at the library where you picked up your book.
Check out the days and times by going towww. delcolibraries. org.I love my local library, the head librarian and the library staff. They are so knowledgeable and helpful.
Research at the library is fun. While the local library may be a building of books, I think of it as a place of community. Not only does the library connect people to information, it connects people with people. There are reading programs for kids, and monthly reading and writing groups for adults.
Libraries serve people of every age. There is no barrier regarding economic status, race,
ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, education or income level. The library is open to all.
What a plethora of informational resources the library offers. So, check out your local library. Support it in your community. There are various fund raisers throughout the year.So when we finally reopen here in Delaware County, maybe you’ll check out your local library. Perhaps I’ll see you there!
