Hersheypark in the Dark, drive-in concerts top the list
Here are some events planned for this weekend throughout the region:
• The Hersheypark in the Dark Halloween attraction will be open for five weekends starting Friday and running through Nov.
1. Hours vary by day. The seasonal event will feature family-friendly rides and coasters, safe trick-ortreating and zoo experiences. One-day online admission is $44.95 plus tax for ages 9 to 61 and
$36.95 for ages 3 to 8 and ages 62 and older at hersheypark.com/halloween.
• The contemporary Christian duo For KING & COUNTRY will perform drive-in concerts on Saturday at 7 p.m. at Six Flags Great Adventure, Jackson, N.J., and Sunday at 6:30 p.m. at the Bloomsburg Fairgrounds. Tickets are available at www.platformtickets.com starting at
$125 per car with four passengers, and an additional passengers can be added for $25.
• Linvilla Orchards, 137 West Knowlton Road, Media, is offering Harvest Hayrides, Hayrides to the Witch’s House and Autumn Moon Hayrides throughout October and the first weekend of November. Hours and fees vary by attraction. Visit www.linvilla. com for details.
• The Philly Drive-In Presented by T-Mobile, a free drive-in movie series by Philadelphia Parks & Recreation hosted outside of the Mann Center for the Performing Arts, Montgomery Drive and Belmont Avenue, is extending its run through Oct. 30. A variety of classic Halloween films will be screened every Wednesday and Friday evening.
This Friday it will be “Hotel Transylvania” at 5:30 and “Get Out” at 9. “Edward Scissorhands” will be shown Wednesday at 5:30. Tickets are free but must be reserved online in advance via eventbrite.com.
• The Tailgate Takeout concert series at 118 North, Wayne, presents the 29ers on Friday, AM Radio Trio on Saturday and and D.B. Lambert and Link Hansen on Sunday, all starting at 6 p.m. and free of charge. The musicians will be playing out of the restaurant’s bay windows, with food and cocktails to-go available.
