Barbara Arrington Hyatt, 74, following complicati­ons from cancer, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ peacefully in her sleep at home in the presence of loving family members and a close personal friend on Sunday, November

22, 2020.

Born on August 15, 1946 in Dover, DE, she was the daughter of the late Millard F. Arrington III and Helen Smith Wittle. She was also predecease­d by her brother Millard F. Arrington IV.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Gregory S. Hyatt; sister Rebekah A. Ritter of Reading, PA; brother Matthew S. Arrington of Los Angeles, CA; three children, Jennifer L. DiCecco of West Chester, PA, Peter A. Hyatt of Newark, DE, and John A. Hyatt of Chadds Ford, PA; and three grandchild­ren, Aaron D. Thomas of Exton, PA, Zachary G. Thomas of West Chester, PA, and Bridget R. Thomas of West Chester, PA.

Over the past number of years she served our tri-county region as a psychiatri­c mental health practition­er, located in Chadds Ford, PA, providing individual, marital, and family therapy services to a client base of 125. She recently retired on August 31,

2020. At the heart and soul of Barbara’s whole being was her faith in God. Rooted in the biblical scriptures she dedicated her life to serving her husband, her entire family and especially her children and grandchild­ren, pastors and good friends of the church universal, the varied needs of her clients, and in her close networking relationsh­ips with other Christian therapists from our region. She will always be remembered for her very close and personal oneon-one times with everyone as well as within various small group settings.

To know Barbara was to experience the true essence of life. For many, Barbara will be remembered as a dear heart who will be sorely missed.

A Celebratio­n of Life Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, December 12, 2020 at Covenant Fellowship Church, One Fellowship Drive, Glen Mills, PA 19342.
