CHESTER » Another fourfigure donation day has pushed the 2020 Merry Christmas Fund over the
20% mark of its $50,000, led by $500 gifts from John and Marcia DiDonato of Glenolden and Media VFW Post 3460. Donations to the fund not only provide area families with food baskets and toys during the week of Christmas but help the Salvation Army Chester Corps stretch its general funding across its many other charitable efforts. Today’s donors are:
· A nony mous, $25: “Thank you for all you do!”
· Linda Tallant of Springfield, $50: “In memory of John Trites, a friend and former bell ringer. “
· Media VFW Post 3460,
$500: “Our Veterans remember that The Salvation Army was always there for us.”
· John and Marcia DiDonato of Glenolden, $500: “May God bless our Doctors, Nurses, Front Line Hospital Workers and First Responders. Please keep them safe. Merry Christmas to all our troops. Please keep them out of harm’s way.”
· Charles & Karen Ellis of Folsom, $100: “In memory of Donald Kerr and Mary Ellis – The Ellis Family of Folsom.”
