HOPE SURVIVES

So now it seems, after reading several Sound Offs and various editorials, now Trump fans are going on about “voter fraud.” Exactly where were you all during the last four years when 1, Russia interfered in our election; 2, Trump attempted Ukrainian interference thereby leading to his fully justified impeachment and 3, deliberately slowing down our postal service to discourage mailin voting? Now, after the cleanest election, possibly ever, now you get indignant. And as we observe the merciful, dying embers of this horrid, despicable nightmare of a presidency we have at least a glimmer of hope. So, impeached Trump, go home. Go back to Florida and hike your membership rates on the fools who are silly enough to join. Go back to what you do best, grabbing women, bankrupting hotels and casinos, ripping off everyone who comes in contact with you. Never get near politics again. With any luck, you will wear a jumpsuit matching your horrid hair color.

SIR PEACE RIOT

NO GOOD EATS

Could you please tell me what happened to New Jersey blueberries this year and New Jersey tomatoes, the best in the world? Now I have to eat tart blueberries from Argentina and Peru and junk food.

HE GOT HIS

Jodine Mayberry was right on! For those who missed her column, please read it on page 13 (Dec. 12). She covered almost every evil deed by Trump. What about Trump insulting and aping a disabled reporter? Also, insulting John McCain as a war hero and calling dead military men losers - firing any and everyone who opposes his views. No other president, not even President Nixon was as despicable like he is, so how can we respect him? He doesn’t show any respect for anyone. He’s not simply saying it like it is - he takes pleasure in his insults and abuses his power. This is America. We should not condone dictators and mentally deranged loonies to lead the country. If the Republicans were wise, they could have impeached him so that the rational Mike Pence could take over and, who knows, may have been re-elected now. So for Trump and his deplorables, you reap what you sow. “Good triumphs over evil,” as the saying goes. Trump is experiencing his comeuppance, as we speak.

NO GRATITUDE

I’m having trouble figuring out this decision from the United States Supreme Court. You know three of these justices were appointed by President Trump. And don’t they know that when Donald Trump does something for you are expected to do something for him? You know, it’s really frustrating to see how these people get their spots on the bench and then completely forget about their benefactor President Trump.

BLINDED BY THE LIGHTS

I’m a driver for a living. Why is it every single day

I am on the Blue Route or the Schuylkill Expressway and cars behind me have one headlight on? Why aren’t they pulled over and ticketed for that? It’s really getting on my last nerve.

FINALLY

Do we dare delieve it? Could it be possible that “our long national nightmare in finally over?”

KEN

RECOUNT THEM ALL

To Mr. Trump: I think we should recount the votes in all the states that you won. I don’t believe they were counted properly. Then we should count them again, by hand, just to be sure. I believe we will find that Joe Biden won at least half of them. The election is long over, and you lost. Rudy knows it, Barr knows it, even Lindsay and Mitch know it. But most of all, you know it. In a way, I feel sorry for you. With no political experience at all, you were thrust into a job you just couldn’t do. And you never grew into it either. But mostly I feel sorry for the millions you conned into voting for you, some of whom are now sending you their hardearned money. Many of them, poor souls, will go to their graves still believing the Democrats stole the 2020 election.

JOHN IN HAVERTOWN

TRY THIS ONE

I just went out and got the paper on my lawn and I see the front page says “Biden wins again.” wouldn’t it have been more appropriate to say “Trump loses again?”
