PEACE TO ALL

Thank you so much Daily Times for your front page, “Peace on Earth.” Keep this going with God in our lives and in our country and you’ll see things change. Pete, thank you for the photo, you did a wonderful job. Thank you so much. I listen to the wind chill at 3 this morning, and it was terrible. Thank you, have a very blessed holiday, and hopefully a whole much better New Year.

RAISE YOUR HANDS

All politicians should not give themselves a raise this year; instead, they should donate the money to the people that need food and shelter. That’s who they should donate it to. Anyway, politicians should not be allowed to vote themselves a raise. We don’t do it at our jobs, so they should not be allowed. That should be in the hands of people who vote them in, not themselves.

BLAME ENOUGH TO GO AROUND

It amazes me that all the Republicans blame Nancy Pelosi for the long time it took to pass a relief bill, although I think she is at some fault. But if you would look at another news organization, instead of Fox News, the House passed a bill back in June that Mitch McConnell would not even recognize but that is OK. Now that a bill has been passed, the president that you all admire is enjoying himself while millions of people are suffering. But that’s OK too. When are the American people going to wake up and smell the coffee and see there is problems on both sides of the fence? Both parties are stubborn when it comes to our welfare.

DISAPPOINTED

PUT UP OR SHUT UP

Ms. Flowers really should try to know her audience before mailing in an article. We all know a good columnist’s article will cause thought and debate and we welcome as much. We must draw the line at lies and innuendo. Phrases like “legitimate basis to suspect irregularities in the voting processes,” “evidence was not readily available ,” “evidence not presented in a timely manner,” “those who defended Trump.” There is no evidence , Ms. Flowers. You know it and we know it and more importantly the courts know it . Trump is not being defended ing us , , Pennsylvanians, Trump is accus- of cheating . Trump’s lawyers have no proof of cheating and that is why A.G. Shapiro and state courts wants this to end . If you want to think yourself a “Philadelphia Lawyer” you too should be sick and A tired of frivolous lawsuits as well.

DELCO DEM

‘DOCTOR’ TRUMP

To “JR,” what a record. You beat me to it with Trump accomplishments, well said. You can add a vaccine in months instead of years and making the U.N. and NATO members pay their fair share and even a not-so-important issue, college football. He did all these things and what “JR” mentioned despite the Democrats, press, Hollywood know-it-alls, so-called late-night comedians and overpaid athletes all being against him. You can compare Trump to a doctor with a bad bedside manner but one who is confident he knows what he is doing and gets the job done. That is who I want. LAN WALLINGFORD

MAKE THEM PAY

To no one’s surprise, Christine Flowers expresses grave concern over irrelevant non-issues while Rome burns. Ms. Flowers is triggered by the possibility that Trump’s lawyers, who have filed dozens of meritless lawsuits alleging election fraud without citing any actual evidence to substantiate their claims, should be held accountable for the costs they have unnecessarily driven to the commonwealth, yet she remains unconcerned with preservation of our institutions. Instead, Ms. Flowers tolerates and celebrates an incompetent coup that has been soundly rejected by courts high and small, by judges appointed by Democrats, Republicans and even by Trump himself.

GOT IT BACKWARDS

To “Frank from Middletown,” you got your screws on backwards. It was President Trump and McConnell that held up the stimulus checks, not Nancy Pelosi. She wanted to give us $2,000. But of course, your great Republican Party refused to help the working people and the poor people and they’re very good at that. If it was for the big rich corporations, they would have been sent out no time.

The Republican Party stinks.
