ONE TRASHY THIEF
The Grinch is alive in Springfield. Sometime between 3 p.m. Christmas Eve afternoon and 9 a.m. Christmas morning some Grinch walked into my driveway and upended the recycling container and left the debris all over my driveway, which I found Christmas morning. They then stole the container. I called a friend who I know has recycling bins because pre-pandemic they had a lot of parties and they were big family and asked if I could borrow one. She said no, she would give me one because otherwise I would have to walk a mile each way to the township building and lug the thing back. So to the person who stole my recycle bin, just so you know next time just walk into Springfield Township building and they will give you a recycling bin. And thank you to my neighbors who gave me the second container.

I’m an independent thinker in voter and I really don’t have an ax to grind against either the Republican or the Democratic parties but I have to chuckle when I see these people that are rabid maniacs for their own party. You know, it’s okay for a not-sofunny comedian like Kathy Gifford to stand up with the severed head of President Trump. And God forbid Nancy Pelosi should have a freezer full of gourmet ice cream and hold up the stimulus checks. I want to wish Donald Trump a Merry Christmas! His supporters love to say that he’s like an every day guy, one of them. Well while millions of Americans are worried about putting food on the table this Christmas, let alone have a gift to put under the tree for their kids, Donald Trump is playing golf. This after shooting down a coronavirus stimulus package that would’ve helped countless Americans. I’m sure his supporters find solace in the fact he was able to find time to pardon his cronies, numerous convicted felons, so they’ll have a merry Christmas. Ain’t it great to be American this holiday season.

LISTEN UP, PEOPLE
American stupidity is on the loose again! How many times do we have to be warned about social distancing? How many record surges, hospitalizations and deaths do we have to see on the nightly news? How many hundreds of families in cars are we going to see waiting for donated groceries because they have been laid off? How many large gatherings do we need to have before we understand that this virus does not disappear simply because we have a vaccine? The vaccines are good but unfortunately, they are too little and too late. This surge will continue well into spring and summer and we will continue to pay a very high price because of those idiots who insist on packing themselves onto planes, buses and trains for the holidays because they don’t have the common sense to understand how serious this really is.

If this criminal grifter in the White House, who is threatening not to leave next month, is personally responsible for all those “wonderful accomplishments” someone listed in Sound Off, then he is certainly personally responsible for the economic decline, suffering, hardship, and death that has resulted from his and his administration’s pathetically ineffectual leadership over the past 10 months.

His so-called news comes from right-wing propaganda outlets that call themselves news, but the fact remains that Donald Trump is in Mar-A-Lago playing golf while the financial fate of millions of Americans hangs in the balance and there’s no way you can defend that.
A CHRISTMAS WISH
My Christmas wish is for us to be the United States of America again, not red states, not blue state or polarized states pointing fingers at one another but the United States of America. This is my Christmas wish. Merry Christmas.
