Donors continue to send gifts to Merry Christmas Fund

Given to date: $42,512.00 CHESTER » The 2020 Merry Christmas Fund is up and over the 85% mark of its goal in its waning days. Another seven donations arrived Wednesday, led by Kenneth and Patricia Woznicki, to bolster the fund’s strongest showing since 2012. The Salvation Army of Chester will continue to accept donations to the fund made out by the close of the year. The Times will provide a final update during the first week of January on the fund and its contributi­on to area families in need during the holiday season. Today’s donors are:

· Kenneth and Patricia Woznicki of Media, $200: “Merry Christmas! The Woznicki Family.” · Anonymous, $25.

· Ronald and Nancy Fronduti of Media, $150.

· Susan Marcello of Aston, $50:

“In memory of Mike Lannon. You’re missed every day! Love, The Marcellos, Frank and Sue.”

Timothy and Eileen Hyland of Wallingfor­d, $25: “In memory of loved ones. Merry Christmas! From the Hyland/Powers Families”

· Raymond and Barbara Richards of Ridley Park, $50: “In memory of my grandmothe­r, Emma Logan, bellringer for many years in Darby.”

· Janet Kennedy of Brookhaven, $100.

The Daily Times will provide daily updates showing the amount of donations received and list the names of contributo­rs to the Merry Christmas Fund. Those who wish to be recognized should include a very brief, legible holiday message with their donations.

Donations can be sent in the form of checks or money orders to: Salvation Army, P.O. Box 1032, Brookhaven, PA 19015. Please do not mail donations to the Daily Times.
