Insurrection: An act of terrorism by Americans?

- By Richard C. Dalton

Our country is being terrorized by its own citizens, so why are we worried about terrorism coming from another country? I don’t get it (and maybe you don’t either). We are doing enough damage to ourselves. But despite this inhouse terrorism, launched by radical Republicans, I’m glad I live in this country.

Like every citizen, I disagree with some policies by both parties but we all can admit that America has the best democratic government in the world. We have had this reputation for some time, even with the United Nations. However, the demonic attack by some radical, evil Republicans, that have been engineered, due to their weak, non-critical political mindsets, to think and respond in violent terms when they don’t get their way, have put a black eye on our country’s democratic face that will never go away. Due to Trump’s unintelligent, insecure egotistical leadership and control issues, plus the lack of courage by the existing political leadership, we now have this Republican faction that can be described as “domestic citizen terrorism.”

It’s a shame, because of Trump and his radical followers have struck a wound it will never recover from.

Like people think alike. Egotistical people who have control issues and want to be seen and affirmed by others as being right, follow people like themselves (Not all Republicans fall into this category but some do). Is this not the same attitude of those that stormed the White House? To prove this, if anyone who was part of that attempted insurrection that reads this, will want to harm or destroy me. Why? Just because I have a different view? Duh! Something is terribly wrong with that kind of thinking.

We are in a sad state as a country. Some factions don’t want our country to heal. They are inside power people who represent power groups outside the framework of our democracy and constitution. They want to rule the world. Yes, the world. America is merely a steppingstone. This is not a conspiracy theory. Besides what if a conspiracy theory is true? In other words, what if theory transitioned into truth. Much like people once had a theory that the world was flat. Later the truth came out that the earth was round.

Conspiracy theories can come out to be true or false. However, even if I laid out facts to back this statement (theory) up, most people would not believe it. Why? Because people have been conditioned to believe a lie. Therefore, its difficult for most people to accept the truth. So they continue to try to convince people they are right. Even if it is through an attempted insurrection.

Well, let’s see what the Biden administration can do. But lets keep in mind “everything that glitters isn’t gold.” Peace be with you.
