WHAT’S NEXT

After four years of doing nothing but dividing the country, Donald Trump had the nerve to say that this is the time to come together -- again proving Donald Trump is a total hypocrite. But Donald Trump is right. It is time for all Republicans and Democrats of good conscience to come together and tell Trump and his supporters to climb back into their little holes and leave our republic alone and leave it to the civilized people in this country, not the cretins who are posing as people.

JUST WONDERING

What is this mysterious hold that The Donald has over our Christine? She gives us 27 column-inches of reasons why she thinks we are headed down the road towards totalitarianism because some social media outlets dare to censor Trump’s speech, which, as we all know, is a lot more than just saying “stop the steal” or “questioning the validity of an election.” No, it is because of Trump’s Big Lie, the one he endlessly repeats, the one that many of his followers still believe: That he won the election but had it stolen from him. There lies the road to totalitarianism.

DEFINE ‘NORMAL’

The editorial in Thursday’s paper titled, “What we thought we knew about 2020 was wrong” was most enlightening and down to earth on how we react and handle new situations. Now we know how to handle the “new normal.” RIDDLEWOOD KEN

GET THEE TO A SHRINK

To “You’ll Get What’s Coming To You:” You said in your Sound Off the Democrats might be controlled by China, they are controlled like robots by others, and they want to ruin our freedom. You also said something is wrong, alluding to something dark, mysterious and hidden. What’s actually wrong is your perception of reality. You should air your concerns with a psychologist. It can be easily done through the internet. It might help you.

MILES TO GO

Hey Christine Flowers, do you find it disturbing that there has been, in the past four years, as many walls built as impeachment’s?

SAVE LOCAL LIVES

First let me say I’m a huge animal lover of all kinds and that I donate regularly to Providence and other animal rescues. I’m looking at today’s “handsome mixed breed dog” (which he is) and still don’t understand why dogs exactly like this aren’t pulled from the very overcrowded ACCT in our own jurisdiction of Philadelphia. They euthanize so many dogs with such sad stories but yet we continue to pull so many dogs from “other” overcrowded shelters, spending money to get them here. Shouldn’t there just be a partnership with ACCT to work together right here in our own area? I’m sure there are reasons and hopefully someone will enlighten me.

FORGET ABOUT TRUMP

How about our wonderful legislators? Here’s a group of our elected officials that are elected to pass legislation and laws to help their citizens and can’t get it done. It takes months for them to agree on anything only because they are interested in adding to their own private agendas. The amount of suffering in our country, jobs, business failures, hunger, sickness, fear. How about working to end the problems in our great country as fast as you worked to show your vindictiveness to impeach Trump, and the cost to the taxpayers because you have been stymied in your hatred for four years. Let’s put that same process to work to do your job to help the America people. Let’s start by getting everyone who is willing vaccinated and get this country back on its feet; that’s your job not petty vindictiveness.

SHAME OF THE GOP

Is John Capuzzi a Republican? He called the people trying to bring sanctions against the Delaware County Board of Elections contemptible and he’s absolutely right. Republicans all over the country are showing how contemptible they with their frivolous lawsuits because they lost an election and can’t come to grips with the fact that they lost fairly and honestly,

Their conduct has been shameful ever since Nov. 3 and continues to be shameful to this day.
