Dorothy E. Clemens (nee Lutz), 79 of Morton, PA, passed away suddenly, yet peacefully in the arms of her oldest son while walking along the boardwalk in Atlantic City, NJ on Saturday January 9, 2021.

Born in Philadelph­ia, PA, she was the daughter of William J. and Elizabeth D. (nee Baumann) Lutz. She was a parishione­r of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church and graduated from Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic High School in 1959.

Dorothy was a well-known waitress and cook in Delaware County serving her homemade meals for over 40 years at The Friendly Café (formerly Danny’s Tavern) in Milmont Park, PA and Monaghan’s Pub (formerly Kelly Monaghan’s) in Essington, PA. She also enjoyed cooking delicious meals and baking amazing desserts for her family and friends. Dorothy was the mother of ten children and cherished her large family. She enjoyed caring and spending time with her grandchild­ren and great grandchild.

In addition to her parents, Dorothy was predecease­d by her son, William Daniel, grandson, Jason Green, and former husband, E. Wayne Clemens. She is survived by nine of her children: Wayne Clemens (Jan Tempone), Loriann Green (Billy), Joseph Clemens, Lisa Cosner (Chuck), John Clemens (Dawn), Elizabeth Garr (John), Kathleen Clemens (Robert Shaw), Daniel Clemens (Late Joanne), and Kristen Carr (John). She is also survived by her 12 grandchild­ren, 1 great grandchild, her sisters: Joan Donovan (Francis) and Patricia Haas (Late Walter), and her loving companion, Eugene Gamble.

Visitation will be Monday January 18 from 6-8pm at Kevin M. Lyons Funeral Service, 202 S. Chester Pk, Glenolden, PA and Tuesday from 10:00-11:15am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 2130 Franklin Ave, Morton, PA. followed by her Funeral Mass at

11:30 am. Interment will be private.

Because of her love of children memorial donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital,

501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be appreciate­d.
