Dr. Chris A. Panarello, Sr.
Dr. Chris A. Panarello Sr., of Concord Twp., PA, passed away a day before his 85th birthday at the age of 84 on December 31, 2020 at Riddle Memorial Hospital.
Born to George and Alice Nacrelli Panarello in Chester, PA, Chris graduated from Upper Chichester High School. He was class president and played football, class of 1954. He played football at University of Delaware and completed his requirements in two years, and graduated Temple University School of Dentistry in 1959. He entered a Surgical Internship in Oral Surgery at Crozer and was on the staff of Crozer Hospital for many years. He entered the US Army as a Captain stationed at Fort Jackson, SC for two years. He continued his dental career and retired after 47 years.
An avid golfer and with a single digit handicap for fifty years, he won Club Championship Titles at Kennett and Concord Country Clubs. One of his fondest memories was playing golf with Willie Nelson and Tex Cobb at Willie’s golf course. He was inducted into the Delaware County Hall of Fame for Golf. He was one of the founders of the Chichester Crusaders Youth Football program. For the past few years, every Saturday night he was on an internet radio boxing show with Frank Carroll, as you can imagine he was the crowd favorite, boxing commentator/historian.
Chris is preceded in death by his son, Chris A. Panarello Jr. who is recently deceased.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Elaine L. Panarello (nee) Galli, sons, Vince Panarello, and Dr. Lance Panarello and his wife, Jama and 2 grandchildren, Roman & Wyatt.
Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, services and interment will be announced at a later date, when we can have a true celebration of his life.
