“Keep Speech Free” needs to understand that the Constitution only prohibits the government itself from interfering with speech unless the speaker is doing things like inciting to insurrection. What you are witnessing is not communism but capitalism. It was Amazon that booted Parler off the internet. (Parler is back up so you can go spew your poison there.) The thing is, in capitalism, there is competition, until someone wins the competition. Then there is monopoly. That’s one reason why there is also government regulation.

With the outgoing president banned from the social networks and rampedup security at the state and federal capitals, Sunday proved to be a slow news day. It reminded me of how a normal news cycle went. I welcome the new normal where we can focus on battling our common enemy, the coronavirus, rather than each other. Let’s hope that divisiveness can remain at bay, as its purveyors of hate crawl back under the rocks and sand traps from whence they came.
