YOU AIN’T SEEN NOTHING YET

NEVER FORGET

I enjoyed Larry Owens’ column “The weasel, the worm and the fox.” It was original and insightful. What a great story! On a separate note, to comment on Chris Freind’s recent column “No honeymoon for President Biden,” even though I agree that Trump craves attention, I do not agree that he should be off the hook and forgotten for all the wrongs he’s committed. The Senate should convict him so that his privileges would be stripped and he will never be able to run for office again. America doesn’t need dictators and bigots like him as our president. Like a TV commentator once said, all Trump supporters are not bigots but all bigots are Trump supporters.

MAKE UP YOUR MIND

To “Pick and Choose:” Columns like Flowers, Mayberry, and Sound off are exactly that. Opinions. But people tend to think they are gospel. They aren’t. And you are right, you can choose to read them or not. Again, they are only someone’s opinion. But you are partially right about newspapers. They are there to present (or report) the news. As accurately as possible. But not both sides of opinion. We, the readers should form our own opinion from the facts. Newspapers should never give

us a opinion.

FLY YOUR COLORS

I hope Trump creates his irony-deaf “Patriot” Party and that his authoritarian followers who continue to idolize this failed dictator join it. Let them then fly their “Patriot” flags proudly and pretend to be “real Americans” waiting ardently for the second coming of Trump, so that decent, sane, actual Americans - the distinct majority - know exactly who among their neighbors are the ones who really hate America.
