Dopapod livestream­ing from Ardmore; Russell Peters headlines SoulJoel’s

Here are some events planned for this weekend throughout the region:

• Ardmore Music Hall presents streaming concerts featuring Dopapod live on stage on Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. on its YouTube channel and Facebook page or at nugs.net. The livestream is free, but tips to support the musicians and venue will be accepted. Dopapod formed in 2007at Berklee College of Music in Boston. The band synthesize­s funk, jazz, bluegrass, electronic­a and more within its complex improvisat­ional compositio­ns. • Global comedy rock-star Russell Peters headlines four shows this weekend under the heated dome at SoulJoel’s Comedy Club, Royersford. Peters is a man of firsts: YouTube’s first breakout star (2005). First SouthAsian to sell out Harlem’s Apollo Theatre (2006). First comic to do a Netflix special (2013’s “Notorious”). First North American comedian to do multiple arena tours of Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, the UK, Dubai and Scandinavi­a. The Anglo-Indian Toronto-born comic has set attendance records around the globe. He is a veteran of the late-night talk shows and starred in the CTV/Netflix scripted series “The Indian Detective.” Show times are 6and 9p.m. Friday and Saturday. Tickets are $35for general admission and $45for VIP seating.

To reserve, visit souljoelsc­omedyclub.nightout.com. • Sellersvil­le Theater presents Matt Nakoa in concert on Friday at 7:30p.m. and Danielia Cotton on Saturday at 7:30p.m. In-person and virtual options are available for both shows. And on Tuesday, a Soundroom Session livestream concert featuring Philadelph­ia-area singer-songwriter and bassist Phil D’Agostino will start at 8p.m. on Facebook Live. Nakoa is a trained concert pianist who attended Berklee College of Music as a vocalist. After school, he landed in New York City’s piano bar scene and began attracting capacity crowds each Saturday night. Now, toting multiple albums and songwritin­g awards, he tours internatio­nally. Cotton is a New York City-based singersong­writer who in 2010was named Lilith Fair’s Ourstage Local Talent Winner for New York City and has gone on to share stages with the likes of Robert Cray, Bon Jovi and Gregg Allman. • Soprano Toni Marie Palmertree and pianist Ellen Rissinger will present a virtual concert titled “The Heart of a Woman” on Saturday at 2p.m. or on demand any time after the live event. Inspired by the centennial of the ratificati­on of the 19th Amendment, giving women the right to vote, the concert will feature works by Argentinia­n, French, German and American women composers. • Setter Ridge Vineyards near Kutztown celebrates the first day of spring on Saturday by opening its patio for music by Jeni Hackett from 1to 4p.m. Reservatio­ns are required since seating is limited. For $25 per table, you receive a $25gift card to the tasting room. The garage doors will be down and the heaters will be on, but there is still an open area where doors have not been installed yet, so dress for the weather.
